U hit it almost in the center, cause it is actually the new reality we live in, we all try for perfection in life mostly on the outside, few of us try it on the inside too, but as the result sometimes reality kicks in and there are many (too many for my taste) cases when a good looking, fairly buit, intelligent guy see a fine woman but she is with / chooses rather fat, ugly, bald, short, hairy, etc. almost everytime rich man. Then the above average man asks himself why that ugly bastard and not me?! There is no answer to that question. Women do not know what they want. Ever. When they evolve and realise that it is almost always too late cause it happens in the high age only. Moreover when one (man) finds oneself asking such question (why him?) - that is the right moment when it is point of no return and it goes all wrong. ALL THAT IS envy/jelousy speaking directly into our underdeveloped low selfesteem reality formed subconsciousness. Then it starts to play with our mind and more and more cases as such cames into attention and it results in weird stance when that man see only such exact or similar cases and nothing else and it annoys him. It is a psychology thing I am not an expert, but somewhere on the line man changes internally, breaks and starts to like such shit. Brain is a miracle - it protects itself, it rather chooses (instead of us) to cope with something we hate then shut down and break.Such situation is not normal/right, but it is as it is, and if someone wants to live in reality and even change something to his/hers liking, good luck - nope, it works backwards and reality changes you, even if you cannot comprehend it with a constious mind.
To simply put it, the games (and all products in life) are trying to cope with reality and demand, if the reality is sick (psychologically as many ppl nowadays), then there will always be stuff to endorse such behavior (and earn money in the process). There have always been a huge difference between what is normal and what is usual. The difference is often forgotten - that is why there is no middle ground, only extremes. The best you can do, is avoid stuff you don't like, if you force yourself to it - there is a risk that somewhere on the line your brain starts to like it, like everything with repetition (think of music for instance, the more often you hear some song - not intentionally, only as background somewhere - the more you like it).

That could be true. But in other hand, maybe seeing beautiful girls having sex with ugly guys is just another type of 'degrading/corruption' fetish. Like, many guys enjoy seeing a girl doing all kinds of stuff that feels 'humiliating' for her, from ejaculating on their face (tame) to the most depraved shit. It really feels boring to me when I see a game in which the male guy is a super handsome dude. Like, there is no fun if it's a guy every women would enjoy having sex to begin with. But when you have this super hot girl sleeping with a common/ugly guy, it feels unusual/unatural, like it's something wrong.. and more hot. Might be the way taboo things usually have the contrary effect on people.

This ugly fat guy is usually not the MC, so I'm not sure if that's the case. Anyway, I don't relate to any of characters and prefer to appreciate the game on a third person perspective like in porn or hentai. That's also a misconception from people who hates NTR, that always associate who enjoy it as if those are self inserting. It's a generalisation.
