The "snitch ending" doesn't make any sense, does it?

First Enrico tries to kill Ashley (and Eric saves her deus-ex-machina style), but in the epilogue she still gets her dope from his gang in exchange for sexual services.

But I can't really blame EvaKiss for some story inconsistencies - it must have been a crazy amount of work to keep track of all those choices and their consequences...

What msleomac said, worth noting though that the kink around Beta Eric is cuckholding, so the writing gets a bit inconsistent if you activate that route without ever actually sleeping with anyone else.

How does relationships work? If I get into a relationship with Eva, does that lock me out from having sex with all the other characters?

The system itself has a few complexities, but generally no, you can choose to continue to have sex with other people even if you are in a relationship with someone, it will just be mostly cheating.

For a more thorough explanation, the main endgame relationships (Alpha Eric, Eva, and Dave), have 3 different status, you can be commited to them, in an open relationship, or cheating on them. If you choose to get commited to them, you will lose the ability to cheat on them. If you get an open relationship you can choose to have sex with other people and they will know about it. If you are cheating on them you can choose to have sex with other people and they won't know about it.

The other relationships aren't as broad in terms of choices and content so you are a bit more limited in what you can do.

With Jack you can either be commited or cheating on him (no open relationship option).

With Jessica, Ryan, and Jasmin, you can only be in a commited relationship with them.

With Beta Eric you can only be in an open relationship with him.

A relationship with Dad or Arthur will always override other relationships and prevent you from being commited to anyone else.

Specifically with regards to Eva (since that's the path I'm on in my playthrough), I had an option to open Eva up to the idea of threesomes, is that what counts as a open relationship with her?

With Eve you have 3 main options
1. good committed relationship with no cheating (good Eve)
2. relationship in which you are dominant partner which open up to possibility of open relationship with other women or men (good Eve)
3. relationship with Eve in a criminal gang (bad Eve)
this is also possible with bimbo.

with whom you have open relationship with depends on your interactions with other chafracters.

No, Eva specifically is currently bugged, there is a logical error that prevents you from getting a true open relationship with her.

The threesome stuff is fine, it will not get in the way of a commited relationship and won't lock you in one path or another. The point of decision is a bit later (if you have been having photoshoots in your route, it is a bit after the second photoshoot, where Ash has the option of doing full frontal nude). Don't worry, the game's choices will make it pretty clear it is the time to decide what you want for the relationship. I will mention the exact mechanics under the spoiler tab.

(my first post- might be spoilers below- not sure how to edit them out... sorry... don't read if you don't want spoilers... I tried to be vague...)

If you play straight bad with ash in your first playthrough, and then go for as good as possible in the second, the emotional impact of the happy ending in the second playtrough for characters like Jess and Ash is amplified.

I came for titillation... I was not expecting such great characterization and writing. I was moved to happy tears seeing Jess have a happy ending after seeing her demise in the bad ending prior... it was like a big "this could have been your life" moment and I was happy for this virtual side character to see her turn out well adjusted.

My only disappointment with this game is Ashley's enjoyment of the few scenes in which she is assaulted. Her inner monologue saying things like "but I liked it..." when she has all good points and is being molested by her future father in law/gang member/shower tranny. I would have liked a scene or two where the good girl is in a bad situation and doesn't like it.

Still, in this market of 3d and attempts at hyper-realistic, this game blows them away with it's simpler graphics because of the sheer depth of choice content, the repercussions, and of course the very hot writing. (and just because I call the graphics simple, that isn't a complaint... I loved the art in this game... it truly is art...)

This is a gem.

Amen. This game's writing is really amazing, especially for good Ashley when all of the supporting characters get what they deserved. It's so satisfying sending Arthur into prison.

The way I see it, her enjoyment doesn't come from being either good or bad but simply from being Ashley. She is very submissive deep down. Even when she tries to stay on the "good" path and not fall headfirst into depravity, she can't help herself but feel the certain animal thrill and get turned on by all the nasty things that can happen with her. She may feel shame afterward but can't suppress those feelings. After all, this is why she is tempted so much throughout the game to just not give a damn for once, explore her darkest desires and go "Bad". Because she has it in her.
