I think this is due to the huge number of routes/possibilities.
When the FMC starts to work as a model, pornstar, stripper, or secretary, those periods should be extended and more elaborated, but then the game would turn even more over-complicated to finish. I think it was some kind of outburst from EK, like "enough of this", too much coding and variables. Now with ORS, even more branched and has many more characters combined with multiple protagonists will take several years to finish it, and then maybe EK will turn his attention to GGGB.
Yes maybe if your talking about ORS its update take more time than usual Game just because of the greatest story by Eva kiss I'm still playing

Yes, Our Red String is a fucking masterpiece. But there is a problem there, the branching is huge, maybe 10 times bigger that GGGB; It will take years to be finished, or it will have a rushed ending just like GGGB. It's an ambitious project, I hope it's completed properly no matter how long it takes.
