Its both the engine changes fault that it crashes and not the engines fault that it crashes.
Godot works fine in tons of games, the thing is porting a game after years of development to a new engine will always be a nightmare. That goes double if you have a small team. And again double if you are crowdfunded and expected to create a running build regularly. And it goes even more double if you port it from a highly specialized engine like renpy to a very broad engine like godot.
Before the dev had the functionality of renpy to work with, which doesn't allow a huge amount of creativity in how things work, but they did work. The functions were thoroughly tested and stable.
Now they need to implemented everything on their own in godot. What a small dev team makes on their own in a couple months is just not gonna be as stable as something that's been designed and tested over years by a dedicated team and there's gonna be a ton of bugs if you do it. Like we see here.
Let's hope they manage to fix most of these bugs and get more comfortable with the engine as time goes on.

I have yet to see the benifits of the engine change, so far it's just bugs and crashes. I have no idea what thay were trying to do that they had to switch to godot played the updates fom here and doesn't look like any big changes other then the obvious crashing and burning . I held my support for the devs when they announced the forbidden engine change, i do hope thy fix everything cuz i like the game a lot.

He renamed it v0.10.0 LOOOLLLL. Been following this release since the beggining and this is crazy. Wonder how long is he going to milk this game. This is your classic "never finished" weg ever. What now ? Since its 0.1 now he has 10 more releases to slug through - that's probably 2 more years. Incredible work, just migrate engines and start counting your versions from the ground up again - bravo !

I dislike the engine change as much as the next guy, but dude that's classic version numbering. Do you expect every developer to plan ahead so far that they know exactly how many updates they'll need and name their version accordingly. It is baffling to me how some people put so much stock into the version numbering. It was crystal clear if you played the game that the new update couldn't possibly be the last one.

There are a lot of retards that don't know the math, even devs. :ROFLMAO:

You realise that 10 is higher than 1, right? And it's only leading zeroes that aren't significant? 10 also comes after 9 and you might gain some vague insight as to the software versioning format used by the dev if you glance at the name of the last major release...

Not that this is really relevant as you usually just jump from [whatever fucking version you're on] to v1.00 on release.

Are you rly don't realise that 0.10 lower than 0.9 :ROFLMAO:
Only retards use 0.10 after 0.9 - cause after 0.9 came 1.0 (or 0.91 if you need more versions), and 0.10 came after 0.09.

That's not how it works with software versioning, it's (usually) not a decimal system which is why you can have multiple separators. This is why I'm glad I don't develop stuff for the general public as if I got comments like this I'd make the next version v0.999.010 just to fuck with them.

No - that's how it works with software versioning in normal dev's, look winver for example.

You mean like this? :D

Because that's obviously a decimal so 3.1 is logically followed by.... oh. These are not decimals, they are three ints separated by a "." and :
In short, version numbers follow the sequence 5.3.0, 5.3.1, 5.3.2, ..., 5.3.9, 5.3.10, 5.3.11, ..., 5.3.19, 5.3.20, 5.3.21 and so on. As a result version 5.3.28 is twenty four versions newer than 5.3.4. Similarly, version 5.3.4 is thirty six versions older than 5.3.40. Unlike decimals, trailing zeros do matter in version numbers.
Funny discussion to be having on a porn game sub though so I'll give the person that originally made that rage post some credit.

Soo game is looking promising but i can't really play it. I'm in the main screen and it seems like it is randomly clicking everywhere on the game? I can click some things but it's like there is an auto clicker constantly on. Did anyone have such an issue?

There is no universal rules to version numbering. It just doesn't exist.
The only point of version numbering is to differentiate different versions of the same software and maybe establish a rough release order of version. It is NOT there to act as a progress bar for unfinished software.
0.9 can be followed by 1.0. Or by 0.10. Or by 0.91. Or by 0.9a. Or by 0.901xdSuckDick. There are no rules.
