What the hell do you want?I am a simple man, you give me a cute tomboy, I give you my investment in your story, and although it's quite rough in some places, considering the routes actually have meaningful diffrences I'm willing to forgive that. What I'm not willing to forgive is the cliff I'm currently sitting on, and as I said I'm a simple man, just give me my tomboy. And so I shudder to imagine if I discovered this game sooner, to then wait months and only be met with the most wretched of all things, dramatic irony and a full route's worth of it. All I can do now is forget about this for the next few months and hope that the next update won't also leave me on a cliff.
Also this really might as well be a VN and I'm probably not the first to say this but especially in the latter half of the "game" it's like the writer gave up on the already thin illusion of choice (beyond the choice of route).
Lets not jinx the game now. Mom and sis deserve a happy family ending. What the hell do you want?
For the Asami arc to be done? We literally got the whole Sayuri arc in the last updte.
This is the only game that I do not want to be completed, as every other update gives us a new story where you can bang characters in every orifice.
Previously I was mostly venting my frustrations, I wasn’t concerned with being precise, and looking back it's very disjointed. So, to clarify: my issue isn’t just that the story isn’t magically finished. The real problem is how the cliffhanger is handled and wait time is just the icing. It was first introduced in, I assume, 0.9 it will have been in limbo until at least 0.11. That’s a long wait in real-world time, and while the development timeline is what it is, I repeat, the real issue is that the payoff for that wait feels underwhelming if not outright bad. What the hell do you want?

RNGeusEX is one of the Devs (that's right Dev with capital D) that gives you a full arc with a character. Yes, it takes two update cycles (main update then bug fixes update) but you get everything.
Also, where have you seen that the main cover girl of the game and her mom's arcs are being done before the side characters are?

Yes you got a bit of cliffhanger with a girl that was already MC's love interest. Her main arc is done, this is just a plus, let it hang for a bit, probably 5 months or so, but it's totally worth it.
HmmPreviously I was mostly venting my frustrations, I wasn’t concerned with being precise, and looking back it's very disjointed. So, to clarify: my issue isn’t just that the story isn’t magically finished. The real problem is how the cliffhanger is handled and wait time is just the icing. So to exapnd on this, the cliffhanger is introduced at the end of the Noriko chapter, but it’s only revealed directly to the player, not the characters to build tention. But I think this reveal (to the player) should have been delayed to at least halfway through what we currently have of the Sayuri chapter, and cutaways should have been more vague until then. But that’s only if we want to keep the dramatic irony at all, personally, I’d do away with it entirely. Because this is a “game”, the use of dramatic irony creates major problems with player agency.
Now while writing I think I’ve stumbled onto the real root of my frustration. While I already have a bias against dramatic irony for tension-building, I noticed it’s particularly difficult to pull off in games compared to other forms of media. In a book or movie, we don’t expect to change anything, we’re just observers. But in a game, we are players, and we expect a certain level of agency, even if minimal. Being denied that agency for such a large portion of the story is frustrating.
This actually ties back to the small note I made at the end of my last message: why is this even a game? Why does it let me ring Minato’s door a hundred thousand times if nothing ever comes of it? Then Sayuri chapter constantly cuts away to the villains scheming villainously, yet the game forces me the “player” to ignore it. Surely, I’m not the only one who found that frustrating. While previous chapters had occasional cutaways like this, they weren’t as frequent or as detailed, which made the issue not stand out as much.
So what do I want? Well I'm usually able to suspend my disbelief a lot more than most, which leaves issues like this one to take me out of the story, so finally it boils down to the usual, "better writing". Alternatively you can put the development of the story on pause to figure out how to make this a proper game, and solve the agency problem through that somehow but even I wouldn't want that at his point, it would take too long.
Hey, how is the femdom route? I haven't played the game in a while. Last I checked, it was foot stuff, which I'm not a big fan of.Hmm
I cannot disagree with the point you are making.
I myself enjoy the story, but I was introduced to the game when it was first released (under different name) and been following it ever since. I used to re-play the game at every release, but since it has became bigger I only concentrate on Yasuka route, dont know why but it gets me every time, also hoping that an anal scene with Yasuka would be introduced. And then I also read through whatever new content gets introduced.
Not sure why but I enjoyed the cliffhanger at the end of the latest update. To me the last update was unexpectedly fun I did not think that I would find Sayuri attractive and enjoyable to engage in relationship with, but I got pulled in as story developed and in the end had the pleasure of seeing an amazing sex scene that included anal, which is very important to me (please do not judge).
My apologies for sharp comment earlier, I do not find a lot of games on this website enjoyable and overreacted when I saw this game being critiqued for what I believed was a bad development approach.
No stupid questions here. Natsume underwent a few changes before we ended up with the current version. I am pretty sure we will see her route at some point. This is probably a stupid question but will there be a Natsume Route?
I'll glad I managed to make myself clear, but more glad this conversation didn’t just explode, so thank you. But still I can’t help but to take a bit of the blame for it, my original message was messy enough for you to intrepert it in (to me) a strange way.Hmm

I only skimmed through it to see what Animations I missed, and there was no foot stuff unless it was dialogue only, dialogue which I missed.Hey, how is the femdom route? I haven't played the game in a while. Last I checked, it was foot stuff, which I'm not a big fan of.

But anyway I have to say that I also enjoyed the story but I honestly can't push myself to call it a great story, for me it's at best a good one with great moments, and great potential. And yeah, from my explaintion earlier you can probably imagine that Sayuri chapter was one of the lowlights that’s keeping me from appreriating the story as a whole. But even so, it's rare for me to go through a whole HGame without starting to skip the story from before I reach 1/3 of it, so quite honestly it’s alreadly better that a lot of the competetion. And I really don’t want to degrade this game, I’m here to hope for the best and maybe say something to have a chance to make it better (not sure how often the dev reads stuff on this site).
By the way that example I gave from Ringing Minato’s door a bunch, I did come up with that for no reason I actually rang that door bell a few dozen times through the Sayuri chapter. At least put in an easter egg where after a hundred rings or so, he gets pissed off and sends someone after you or something, drop a piano on my head for all I care.
Have you found her bedroom at the house?Hi, I have rescue Yasuka from the fat ugly bastard, but now I'm stuck from meeting her at night. I can't do anything for passing the time!! What should I do???
