So im i a retard or something? started playing but after talking to the neighbors at the start i cant progress the game. I go and hit leave at the bed, but nothing happens. Im i missing something? or is my game bugged somehow?

If u skip all the dialogue then maybe like 20 to 25 mins or half n hour max .. if u read everything more than 1.5 hours ..

If you skip all the dialogue might as well use the feature to skip to the new content. Not sure if that unlocks the gallery tho

Finger crossed a hero also makes a patch like these:

0.11 modded with incest patch only
PIXELDRAIN - MEGA

0.10.3 modded with incest patch and unlocked gallery
PIXELDRAIN - MEGA

Incest patch is based of this , but has some optimisations.
