Having the same problem. I tried the update patch first and thought I'd borked it somehow so grabbed the full thing and its still doing that. Not sure why it's affecting us and noone else.Downloaded v46 and now all my newest saves are gone and its only showing the one from the end of v37 and won't start

Okay to fix this, go to %appdata%\renpy\GrandmasHouse-1629239078
copy the save file with the highest prefix (i.e. your latest save) into the game\save folder
or copy all of them I guess

This game is like a diary of the MC's adventures with women (and other things, but mainly women), while he was living with his Nana (the patched version is the canon, BTW). Obviously, his day to day account of his "conquests" is exactly that. So, since that is the Game since it started, it is obvious that it is what the game will be until the end. Expecting the game to be something else, is on YOU. Sorry, but you need to manage your expectations. If you don't know, don't assume, ask (preferably in an educated and courteous manner, remember preferably, not a hard requirement, but, keep in your mind that shit comes in, shit comes out).
About the Animations, there's many reasons, but the main one is: Update Speed. Most of the players prefer high update frequency, instead of animations. You, are free to choose. Either play without animations, or, play something else. Nice uh? Choice is always good. Again, expecting it to change, is a #ExpectationsManagement issue.

if on PC, go into appdata/roaming/renpy/ and see if there's more than one entry folder for Grandmas House?
you may get lucky and your saves are still archived there if the date of one of the folders matches the last time you played .45

Wow you are a massively condescending pos. This is a porn game, not a diary. My EXPECTATION is that it be engaging, entertaining, and full of spicy scenes. Which it is except when we get to the night scenes where they just pile on each other every single time basically doing the same thing. The creator is in full control of pacing, narrative flow, and of course the events of the story itself. Every character in this game is fictional and it is a creative choice by the author to make every single day have a sleeping scene. The author could by the same dint choose not to do that and the story would be unaffected, the game would take less time to make with fewer renders, and we would have a better ratio of quality content/meaningless filler.
You saying that I should adjust my expectation to pretend this is a diary and somehow be fine with slogging through is kind of like you arguing that the LotR movies should have included every single hiking and camping scene from the books because that would make it more "realistic". No, that would just be boring and slow down the movie for no good reason. The same applies here, the sleep scenes are boring, repetetive, and don't need to be there.
There are many other games shared on this site that also tell a long form story without WASTING MY TIME.

You're a arrogant pos yourself, you can expect anything and everything you want, you bitch about them even, no one on this thread cares. The old guard of the thread don't care, the dev certainly doesn't care. All your doing is getting yourself added to multiple block lists.
The game is engaging, entertaining, and full of spicy scenes. I don't think there's ever been an update that hasn't had at least one sex scene in it. The last four updates have all be very funny, so that's entertaining and spicy checked off, and my favorite character (Kat) has been active so that's engaging checked off.
As for the sleeping scenes, nearly all of them lead to morning sex, or have progressed various character arcs. Half of Nana getting used to our nudity is our sleeping naked, and her coming in and seeing us, then that progressing to her seeing us sleep naked with our aunt and cousin. The sleeping and the acts leading up the the sleep aren't wasted time or renders or anything.
