Hello all

I was wondering how many people are having the MC call Jamila [u'mom'] ?? I've upgraded from 0.57 to 0.58 and now 0.59, now I get this.
This happens without or with and of the "Incest Patch", which I tried to use to fix the error.

This is in script.rpy

    scene day113 morn378 with dissolve
    "You drive on home."
    jam "Good evening Habibi, Amelia."
    mc "Hey [mcJamNick]."

Also why is this in newGame.rpy?

  $ mcJamNick = [m]

and not like variables.rpy

 define mcJamNick = "Jamila"

or $ mcJamNick = "Jamila"

When I try to change ($ mcJamNick = [m] ) to ($ mcJamNick = "Jamila" ) it just fails to load saves. I can start a new game and it seem to work so far.

Edited many times to correct things...
Oops. Forgot to say I'm running the Linux build on Fedora 40
