That is correct. Treat each part as a separate game.

This comes up often after each release. Maybe the small text in the first post is not clear enough? It does not state explicitly that each part is a separate game. This is obvious for those who have been playing this game since the beginning, but I understand that it can be confusing for many new players.

Note: You need to play Part 1/2/3/4 and save exactly when the game tells you to before you can play Part 2/3/4/5
Note2: Same instructions for switching from Part 2 to Part 3, Part 3 to Part 4 and Part 4 to Part 5​

The problem with this, was evidenced yesterday.
Telling people to "save exactly where the game tells them to" is not specific enough for some.
Some were confusing the "Rollback and save" screen at the end of each update, with the "SAVE NOW!" screen at the end of each Part.
Then complaining that the game wasn't working correctly.

The other problem with this, is that it still requires people to read.
How many times was "Sex with Nana yet?" asked, despite the huge yellow text in the OP saying "No sex with Nana yet" being there?

IMO, some of the people were likely trolls, especially the ones who don't bother to defend their initial questions or comments. Personally, I make a separate save for the end of each part, just as a precaution.

I'm sure a lot of them are trolls, but there's nothing that can be done about them. You can only deal with people acting in good faith.

That was my point. My suggestion was not about solving all problems. That will never happen. There will always be people who do not read or who do not understand. There will also always be some trolls who pretend that they do not understand.

But if we can improve the wording of the hints and maybe reduce the number of confused players, then it is a win anyway, no matter how small.

Yeah, I forgot the title. I have it on my, play it eventually, list. I have played most of the Square and Enix then Square Enix games. The idea of playing androids just did not really appeal to me too much, no matter how hot they might look.

Maybe we can have another threesome with Zelda and Debbie, cosplaying as Aerith and Tifa or as Yuna and Rikku.

But what we should do needs to be correct, which was my whole point.

Stating in the OP "Save where it tells you to" is not remotely specific enough to solve the issue for most who encounters problem with save transfers at the start of a new part. The game tells people to save at the end of each update & saving there does nothing when you start a new part. Only saving on the black SAVE NOW! screen does.

So, if we're going to add something, it needs to tell them specifically where & when to save, otherwise we're just going to get more questions, complaints, people saying they followed the instruction to the letter but it didn't work.
Which makes it worthless.

The weirdness of some people not getting something I find simple despite my quirks is enough to give me a small headache. If I knew how to do it I would post the one gag reel of famous characters putting their hands on their faces in annoyance every time it gets asked shortly after it was already explained. I've lost count of how many times I've seen a question asked when the answer was already posted in the same page or one/two pages a short while ago, and on the same day the question was asked.
