Was the save from part 2 made at the absolute end of it, i.e. on the screen where you get the prompt for saving the game? That is the only thing that could cause an issue as far as I am aware. Now admittedly I'm no expert in the matter of compressed/non-compressed compatibility, but I can't imagine there should be any issues using saves from one version with the other (and vice versa) since it really is the same game, after all.
Thank you for your reply, there's a final render saying thanks and instructs to rollback and save.. I saved on that last render and on the render before as instructed.. When I launch Part 3, all saves from part 2 show but cant load them including these last 2 which i should be able to load.. The only save working to start part 3 is the one exactly at the end of game part 2 when it says "SAVE NOW". All others won't work. It should be no problem if you used the uncompressed or compressed game version. If that still does not work I recommend to try the saves provided from the Walkthrough Mod linked on the main page, they should as far as I know also work even without using it.

You need to download each part separately and treat them as separate games. Just save at the EXACT screen it tells you to at the end of each part and import the save at the next part.
