That happened to me when I was in part 3. First and second part in full version then when I downloaded the third version it used to work fine till a certain update. But after some time when I downloaded updated version of part 3 and copied saves from older version of part 3 it was not letting me play it. I dropped the error code here and pinged the person who compressed. We went back and forth and tried figuring it out. But nothing. Then I left the game till Part was out. Then Downloaded Full version of Part 3 tried again with old saves and same issue. But this time after few tries oddly the entire Saves list got cleared out. Which was an absolute pain. Then I downloaded the full version and had to play entire thing again. And it worked. So am not sure if it was specific to Compressed version or Full Version too. But that happened. I doubt it is limited to Compressed version because again no one else had similar issue with it. I think some thing in game itself bricks the saves randomly(rarely) causing issue for few of us.

I'll NEVER understand the people that come to a game that has multiple parts, like this one, and ask for a save directly to the last part. They all have the same excuse... lost the saves...
I think that it is pretty clear that most of us know that that is an excuse to bypass the rest of the game... and that's what I don't understand. The only thing that makes a bit of sense, would be to bypass some slow burn stories. It's just that this game has no fucking cool down period. There's sex almost everywhere, every time... sure, not all the girls/women are available right away... but there's so much fucking that you can't even miss it...
I really can't understand. What's the fucking point? Seriously. Let's not even mention the security problem of asking people for files on an open forum...
All this feels so... I don't wanna say it...
