I can think of two reasons:

1. Your previous saves are from a patched version while now playing an unpatched version or vice versa.
2. You weren't at the correct screen of part 5 (or earlier) when you saved it while trying now to play part 6.

Seriously, the chances are much higher if you create a save yourself (i.e., you play S1-5 yourself) than you get one from someone in this very specific thread.

The question here isn't which one to use, but rather which one isn't pregnant yet!!!

Any save should work as long as your game isn't patched.
