I noticed the question is why are they not happy and what are they missing? My guess would be not inmediate reward, somehow some see the Sexual act with Nana as a reward, that would explain the fixation with it.
What from my point of view is a poor way to face the game, the game is the reward itself with all the different jokes, situations and whatnot.
the whole point is to spend time with lighthearted entertainment porn.
