I'm in part 1 and wondering, does the pacing improve? So far the pacing is terrible, it's impossible to actually get off because time between scenes is too long. ( I realize it could be setting the stage for a much better pacing in later parts, which is why I am asking. Many games start out a bit of a slog but then reach a much better pace later)

As I recently replayed the whole game to do some proofreading (here), I can confirm that part 1 feels a bit slower than the other ones because the characters have to be introduced and the MC does not jump on them immediately.
I can also say that the pacing, the quality of the renders, and the humor are all improving in the next parts of the game.
The first part introduces a LOT of characters and they even tell you in the review that this game isn't for those who just want to jump in and quickly get into a wank session. The characters are extremely well developed with overlapping story lines, so it takes time at first in part 1, slightly slower, but the other parts get much faster in this game and get more convoluted.

KoGa3 introduced a different method on the latest 2 updates. Now you have to:
1- Install the version dependent mod, that has the WT.
2- Optionally, install the Music Mod that is version independent (Version 0.69 and after).
Doing only the Music one, will NOT work.
The reasoning behind this, is that, doing it this way, the modder only needs to update and upload a smallish file, the WT, every 2 weeks. With the larger upload (the Music part), staying the same between versions.
So, when you say your koga mod, isn't working, I presume you only installed the Music one, thinking it contains (as before) the WT and the I-Patch, as it used to. That is NOT the case anymore.

Koga's mod is updated to 0.70. What kind of hiccups? As long as you save at the correct spot there is rarely any trouble.

F95's forum uses the kind of "search" that can't be sorted by date. To read all 1851 individual pages in this thread would literally take hours. If someone does a search on the word "saves," they can narrow this to 31 pages, but these still go back years (through multiple old versions) and are in no discernible order.
I'm just pointing out that the mantra of Do A Search is not at all helpful.

You can actually do a search sorted by Date you just have to set your Preference right first like this
Set those right and you won't have any Problem.

Default search order is always "relevance" unless changed by whoever codes the queries. Relevance can vary a lot depending on what's doing the indexing and searching plus on the actual search query but it's always some sort of weighted value based on number of searched terms found, their closeness to each other and whatever else algorithm magic has been thrown in.
