Someone in a discussion that had to be removed, said they come here to escape the RL serious BS or something to that affect. How does such serious issues not kind of turn you off? Is it that the realism and feeling like you're helping someone through it makes it more tolerable and make it feel like you're building something more "real" with that character?About Amy...
We still don't know the full story of her trauma, what triggers she has and what can be done to help her overcome them.
She has been alone most of her adult life, traveling the world with her boss. Sure she had friends, mostly female. She kept a purposeful distance from all males.
Coming back home, living again with her family, that includes the only man she has ever allowed in, it is an adjustment. She's now facing a new reality, her feelings for a man, the relationships that all her family have with him already and her own traumas. It doesn't help that her sexuality is being challenged too on a daily basis.
Yes, it is taking a long time. A healing time. But, in in-game time is not really that long, not even a month. And, things have progressed a LOT. In this update, the steps taken were gigantic.
Even if you all really want her to go full ham on the MC, I truly don't. I want her character to evolve and grow to be the best of them all as she has the potential to be.
You guys know that I love Tanya's backstory, well, I think that Amy can be the only one capable to be better than that. Let's give time for MB to cook this correctly (as if we even had any other option).
Meanwhile, we can enjoy Nana's evolution and growth. It is not that bad, is it?

That makes a lot of sense imho. And after reading what you said, I think for me I prefer a bit of balance most of the time? I'd have to think more about it. It's possible I want different things from different games? I dunno.What, how, why, who and when is what drives a story for me.
Escapism has many shades, avoiding tough subjects isn't always possible or desirable. To me, sublimating them with a frontal look into them is better than pretending they don't exist. Especially, if it is done without glorifying abuse and abusers.
So, tough and hard subjects are, for me, preferable to vacuous endless ramming of hips. Over time, in my immersion in these stories and themes, I've come to be desensitized of most sexual acts. The story matters WAY more to me than the hips ramming. The relationships. The nuanced evolution.
This game is VERY thin on story. To the point that some think there is simply no story at all. What we do have instead is some in depth backstories, interspersed in the overabundance of sex acts.
It is a bit complex to say that you look for scraps of story in this Porn Diary, but, it has worked for me so far. I still find some joy in some of the less extreme acts, and with some exceptions I've managed to tolerate "most" of the more extreme ones...
This isn't a game for those that want a story rich environment, but, even here, there are snippets of stories that can provide some satisfaction.
