A) KoGa3's walkthrough mod applies the iPatch, not sure if he does any bug fixing (definitely no regular grammar/spelling fixes).

B) His mod isn't that invasive ... I've never had problem playing a save using just his mod to load in an unmodded version of a game.

Can you tell me why a walkthrough mod is needed for this particular VN, where it's basically just a question of whether I want to see this scene/plot or not?

So, I've been playing this VN from the beginning without a mod, and ALL the girls/women, etc., are pregnant.

You probably don't need the walkthrough part ... even at the beginning the choices were fairly obvious, but it has other features I like and it incorporates the iPatch, which can be more erratic in its availability on its own (not usually, but sometimes).

To be honest, if I'm early enough, I DON'T wait for the update (didn't this time). You can use a previous version if you don't overwrite the script and scenes files. All the other features work fine.

EDIT: All that said, as much as I like "games", I like AVN's more for the "N" part, so I tend to prefer walkthrough play and walkthrough mods to get a more linear playthrough, so if one is available I usually use it, whether I need it or not.

I don't need a mod anyway, since I play with URM (not here), and I don't need the i-patch either.

I think I modified the rels.rpy file at the beginning of last year so that it functions like an i-patch. I copy it into the games directory with every update.

That's what I do but you need to check the latest rels file each time - compare yours to the latest one, occasionally new characters get added...
