Unfortunately, there are two forms in German:
"Sprichst du Deutsch?" is the personal form
"Sprechen sie Deutsch?" is the polite form

in English mean this the same: "Do you speak German?"

Pretty sure he said something in German first, so I think the context is correct.

He didn't speak any. It was him understanding Helga when she said "Wunderbar". So her being surprised is contextually appropriate.
As you pointed out, MB was correct.

Goddamnit, why can't it be the 13th already?! I am jonesing so bad for an update! Seriously, I'm starting to think the whole thing about the last update releasing a few days early was purely a bad thing (for me anyway) because it's thrown us off the "rhythm" we have all had with the updates so far. And I really don't like that! :mad:
