Yes I have that save. screenshot on load page shows exactly that but won't load for part 6. I played .82 and 8.3 and none of the saves will load for 8.4.

Quick hopefully not stupid question:
I played this a while ago then stopped but didn't finish the chapter I guess, I then happened to have deleted the game folder to save some disk space like I do with basically every game (and they all just work when I re-download them & load a save), I wanted to go back and continue playing this now but when I download it and try to load the save it gives me error and I cant do anything else, ignore gives me more errors and rollback just closes the game.
The latest save I see from the little still frame is MC sitting on a bench with Tanya leaning her head against him, I'm saying this in case someone recognizes which chapter or part that is from, but I tried to download Part 6, 5, 4 and 3 none of them work, I dont think the last time I played is that far behind.
What I am asking is am I screwed and need to restart from the beginning? Did deleting the folder fuck up the saves for this game?

Just download them all and see which one it loads into. I would guess 2 or 3 unless the baby was with them, then it should have been near the end of 5.
If you don't even see the game on the load screen, try copying it to the appdata path (I don't remember how the path works though, try searching your C-drive for grandma)
If nothing works, then time to fly home from graduating college.

Then my only recommendation would be to replay part 5 and create a new save
hopefully you can start close to the end of part 5
because it sounds like something got corrupted and your save is no longer working
