I've made it through about 8 of the chapters now and have a couple questions.

1- Does the English get better?
The misuse of pronouns, wrong verb tenses, phrases that make no sense (perhaps an idiom in another language that doesn't translate the same in English) really slows down my reading. I realize English may not be the devs 1st language, but for me, I'll need to have the English get better if I'm going to invest a large number of hours to continue with this game.
This is \nNot a complaint. I've seen many, many games with way worse English. I wouldn't have made it this far if it was terrible, but it's definitely not at a 6th grade level yet by chapter 8 (out of the 84 so far). I just personally would prefer reading fast and poor English doesn't allow me to do so as I have to keep stopping and try to figure out what is being said.

2- Does the overuse of the "I love you", "No, I love you" continue as well?
I get that it's a theme in the game, but it's on repeat then rinse and repeat again and again before moving on to a new scene with a new character. Personally, if this doesn't stop either, I may as well cut the game out now (and free up a few GB of space on my computer).

Thank you for any input you can give me so I can make an informed choice. Figure I'd better ask before just deleting and quitting the game.
As far as I am aware, English is indeed the first language of Moonbox. I am somewhat confused as to what poor English you are referring to, as all of the parts I have read (I am caught up to the most recent release) have the same writing style. I have had no issues with reading this particular VN at a decent pace. Don't get me wrong, there may be a spelling/grammatical error here and there, but I have seen only a handful spread throughout all of the releases.

Any poor/janky English you are referring to is either a small mistake or possible some colloquilaism you may not know. Curious, are you an American? It all reads pretty damn, 'Merican to my "red,-white,-and-blue-ass"

As for the "i love you" most of those are family-to-family, "I love you" and not extra mushy shit... well, there is that too. It doent end, sorry (I kinda like it, but do get it. to each their own)

I turned-up my American English for ya on this one. Want me to go all California on you next? I speak native GILFordese, being from Cali myself ;) Can you hear my accent?

edit/ps: wait till you ge to the constant, "ZZZZ" and, "GRLG." That shit will annoy you, if the "i love you" do.

...I'm sorry, but which game are you even referring to here? Because there are no "chapters" for Grandma's House as far as I can recall. There are parts, but only in the sense that they are split up to make them easier to download and store. And even then, there are only about 5.1 parts right now, since we are barely a tenth of the way through part 6. So that bit makes no sense.

As for all the supposed "broken English" with misuse of pronouns, I cannot recall a single instance of that anywhere in the game. Granted, my memory is far from flawless, but I do still tend to remember stuff like that, since it always takes me out of the experience as well. (Especially when the author mixes up "her" and "him" twice in the same sentence. Now that is just below a grade school level of mistakes! But I digress.)

Last but not least, about the "I love yous..." Well, this game is supposed to be a charming, wholesome, inoffensive thing that really plays more like a soap opera but with actual sex instead of incredibly contrived and twice as shitty drama that ultimately makes no freaking sense whatsoever to begin with anyway. But again, I digress... Basically, no; the mushy, affectionate dialogue carries on throughout the entire game. And that is precisely how the majority of the fans like it, from what I have seen. Myself included.

You asked:

1- It has been a while since I've played the initial updates of this, but, I don't recall having seen or felt any problem as those you report. I confess, my memory is not that good and I've read thousands and thousands of pages since. So, my impression is all I've left, and that impression is NOT the same as you describe.

In later updates, some people joined MoonBox and formed a Beta testing group. I know that many of the initial graphic inconsistencies disappeared after that, maybe, those issues you felt with the English went away also.

The first 6 out of 84 updates, is a rather small sample, and, knowing the history of how this development happened, not a good representation of it. So, quite probably, when the development went into a more relaxed pace (albeit faster because of experience and resources) and the Dev had time available to dedicate himself fully to this, there was also an increase in the quality of it? I don't recall it, but, maybe... I wouldn't be surprised if so.

2- This is harder to answer. Because, to start, there's, for me, no overuse. So, this must be put in a subjective frame, and it is quite difficult to quantify.

You may be unfamiliar to these types of constant expressions of Love, judging from your rather tense tone and expressed menaces, this is something that bothers you deeply. I wish I could say that it gets better, but, alas, no. It will be even more widespread, and it will include a lot more characters.

To us, the readers of this, it is a fundamental part of the experience and one of it's key features. That and the constant kissing and other physical expressions of care and love. By this I mean hugs, caresses, massages, hand holding, smiles, gentle petting and so on. It is part of the love language of this all thing.

So, if all that is unbearable to you... I'd say, cut your losses and let go. Or, face the possibility of going into therapy to try and figure out why it bothers you so much. Not my place to even venture any supposition.

There, an honest and unbiased info dump to help you make your choice.

Peace :)

Is it weird that I don't especially want to fuck my grandma..? I love making the rest of the family drip and moan, but grandma is something holy not to be touched.

If you take count that it's like one of the principal thing of the whole game, then yes.
It's different per player. For a lot of us (not counting me, I love gilfs) Grandma is just a center point connecting all the girls we DO want to fuck.

It may be true. Before playing the game and knowing who were the 7 main LIs, the first thing I thought was that of course the grandma would be unavoidable.

So, I think it's weird when someone is shocked/mad/whatever about having to go with the grandma, honestly.

The ONLY weird part is you thinking it is about YOUR grandma.

I've played this, for years, thinking I'm fucking the MC's family, not mine.

Different perspectives... IDK.

Peace :(

True, but I believe (I'm not sure since I fuck everyone in this game) that grandma is still optional. Imo it's more shocking that Amy hasn't submitted yet to fucking MC.

Nana isn't optional.

The family (Nana, Aunt Liz, Kat, Aunt Amy and Jamila) + Azami and Shuzika aren't avoidable.

No, she is NOT. Well, if you play the game, she isn't. You always have the option to not play though...
