Since she wasn't decidedly and specifically shown as dead, as her and Mc's parents were, she is alive until proven otherwise.
I am aware that this isn't how it works IRL, but, this is how it works Dramatically.
That is why I am and will be until the last update of this title keeping a light on for Melissa. Not only because, her state is binary, but, especially, because I am a sucker for sibling reunions like this. To me, there's no doubt that Melissa is alive, simply because she wasn't shown dead.
Some here, prefer the notion that she is already in Gilford, under a new identity, whatever... I don't. I feel that her appearance will be a dramatic entrance full of significance and importance. I am aware that this isn't the style of MoonBox, but, it is exactly because it isn't that I feel it.
Granted, most of this reasoning, is after the fact. I truly am rooting for a sibling reunion.
This is why I make such a pressure with the #SaveMelissa message and even knowing that I am "mostly" alone in this hope, I will carry it until the end. Whenever and whatever it may be.
