Not quite true... there's at least 1 game I can think of (BM) where the patch was made by "fans" and is not supported by the dev nor does it make much sense to use it.
There are always exceptions to the rule.
I know its become a bit of a joke to say watched it for the plot but does anyone know where i can find a genuine plot summary

Well, you don't live with your mom, dad, or sister ... technically ...Judging by similar experiences in other AVN, the incest patch simply added a mention that you don't live with your aunt, uncle, and their daughter (not blood relatives), but with your mom, dad, and sister. They reminded you of this from time to time. That's all. That's all that changed
I love reading quality manga about the special relationship between a son and mother; there's something wonderful about it
But this one seems to be shaping up to be some kind of harem, judging by what I've seen so far.
If an incest patch doesn't change the content or add anything new, then it's pointless. In my opinion

Well, in this AVN's case, without the patch, you have relationships with your landlady ("Mama" - aka. your mother figure), neighbors (instead of aunts), friends (instead of cousin), roommates (instead of "sisters"), grandma's friend (instead of grandma/Nana), in essence, the entire "household" (instead of "family"). Even "clones" (instead of twins, who we get more action with in part 6). Basically, the story really doesn't make much sense without the patch (and gets really, really weird).
And yes, I checked by comparing the "rels.rpy" file distributed with the release itself against the file provided in the patch.

Have to admit, I didn't dislike anyone from College Days. Cameos (or full LI status) would be sorta fun.
the only other person from the college days to show up is the MCs former teacher who is part of Aaliyah family - the others is your girlfriend or ex-girlfriend
The teacher did go back as they were visiting in my play through , but I think if word of the MC were to spread to the MCs former contacts from the college days … then depending on what Moonbox chooses in writing terms , we could be marginally odds on for more cameos at least.

In one of the recent updates Liz carefully asks MC if he remembers each LI from College by name and whether he would like to see each of them again. So odds are pretty good. Especially since the myriad of characters gives MB more opportunities to delay development in specific arcs to prolong the suspense.
