Not sure of any limiting speed. If I set Skip Unseen Text and hold down CRTL, I can (for example) completely run through GH's 1st download in under a minute I think. From that perspective, it'd need something like a 1/10th second delay, which I think a non-effect transition could provide.I suppose it depends on how "fast" a loop can be set for. I've never seen one that was less that a second per frame (and they all have some kind of fade function), but that could just be that — as you say — no-one's ever thought to use it for animating purposes.
Anyway, it was just a thought. It might be used to interesting effect in games that devs don't want to do full animation with, if it could be pulled off technically.
