Looks like there is something wrong with your installation. I checked, but that missing image "scene4396.webp" definitely exists in the game folder .../GuiltyPleasure-0.22-pc/game/images/ and is also shown in the gameplay.
I recommend to redownload v0.22 again and do a fresh install.
still kinda sad this is gonna end with esentailly breaking up the family at least thats my guess since theres no harem tag

Where did you both download the game from? Seems like the same problem at the same moment in game.

The Windows one can't be unzipped with WinRAR 6.21b1, subfolders are erroneously seen as "files".
edit: turns out WinRAR is broken. The archive is fine.

One thing that I did forget to comment is that the developer should stop cutting to MC and insisting he has the last word in every scene. They've already tried to walk back how annoyingly aggressive he has been (when Lilly has always been the instigator), so the realization that we're not here for him is clear.. now just follow through with the rest.
