I've seen games that go on forever (e.g. Whitehaven's New dawn) without any real progress just to get money from requests.

I feel that there are a few people here who take their immersion, their self-insertion to an unhealthy level. That fact that these people are so deeply affected and enraged by what happens in a fictional story is just disturbing and sad. I was socially awkward as a teen, but this seems to be a whole new level.
