No, you're just too stupid to read and understand what a build version is '-'
Build Version: 1.3.8 implies this is past version 1.0. This should be build 0.1 And I got this game from a different website I went here to ask what this trash game is. The dev is clearly trying to deceive people by marking it as 1.3.8 when its nowhere near being complete. Maybe the dev shouldnt lead people on.

1.3.8 literally means whatever you want. A dev could put 2.0 and their game would be empty. Adding a version number to a game is simply optional and depends on the dev's wishes. And "Maybe the dev shouldn't lead people on." Bravo, you've just discovered what an incomplete game is because everything is still in development. You can say the game is trash, we live in a free country, but giving me such weak arguments is so stupid. '-'

Any competent software developer understands Version 1.0 indicates a complete product. That how most games are as well. The only reason a dev would to decide to use another system is to deceive people into thinking their product is more complete then it actually is, and im willing to bet this dev did this to try and get people to sub to his patreon to milk cash.

Yeah, "competent software," that's his first game :WaitWhat: and as for the "milking" exploitation, that's not my problem, but the consumers'. :coffee:

Ah yes, because as we all know, a dev's first game about a dude impaling (probably fatally) a short blue goblin-thing with his massive willy must follow the industry standard versioning naming scheme. Utter chaos occurs if not!

He could call it version 3,0000.0000.7.8rectalcavity.69.infinitybillion for all I care.

You're probably not wrong about the whole Patreon thing, though. But that's not my problem; it's free here, and there's plenty of other games here that lay this one at spades. This one has potential... but potential is all its got right now.

I brought her into the house – any further interactions are impossible, no dialogue.
I let her into the house and gave her a T-shirt – see above.
How, for the sake of all the tomatoes, can I play this if the game is completely broken.

Is not broken, just unfinished, those options are blank because the dev do not implemented it yet.

I'll wager that most, if not a good portion of people on here - and on the web in general have no fucking clue how versioning works and are thus therefore as misguided or unaware of the differences between 1.0 and 1.0.1 and so on. To add to that, are less inclined to actually give a shit also.

In my line of work, we have versioning for specific thing. First digit is a major release, second is an update and third is a hotfix. This is inhouse versioning for our company and, may differ elsewhere. Each to their own. Versioning is just that, showing which iteration a product is at - just because it's not conforming to a widely understood or recognised system does not mean it was done with malice, there are many, too many to list what the actual reason is.

I'd wager that Moisty is not malicious at all, in fact one of the best animators out there - but probably didn't think too much of versioning because, let's be real here - it actually matters very little in this case.

Or! Or! Counter thought. The dev believed that people were smart enough. To actually just check and see if the game is finished. Instead of allowing a version number to be the end all be all. Also, I can't help but notice how you mentioned that's how "most games are." Which means not all correct? Congrats! You just found another that doesn't follow what you just said.

But you know what? Maybe I'm the odd man out. Maybe it's just too much for the average person. To just look at shit beforehand. Instead of coming in to bitch that an incomplete game, that ain't hiding that it's incomplete, because it says it's incomplete.... is incomplete.
