You just have to play further. She has a good Reason for her behavior and without spoiling to much. She will get a lot "better" as you asked

I think that's my problem; I KNOW there's mystery there, and I want to know more, my parents, the fog, the island etc et etc but literally every time Leah is on screen I kinda get the feeling I'm talking to my ex.

But if you dont like Leah at the moment just wait until you meet a Charakter with the Name Nadia ^^ You will hate her then trust me

Her attitude towards you shifts (picture a caricature of oneself) once the respective narrative thresholds are crossed.

I am not certain about how "submissive" she becomes, but the change is marginally significant, and, mind you, I haven't thoroughly finished the current build.
Keep playing; the characters do get better - even the bitchy personalities....Scratch that, especially the bitchy personalities.

Like... I get it but when you're having conversations with her it doesn't seem to be progressing the plot but rather makes the player feel like she's a bit thick or suffering from shell shock.

Ok that's on me for not saying it and no guarantee she'd believe him but again, it's an obvious thing to put out there to take the wind out of her sails. especially since it's been shown she's in contact with the lad in charge so could you know... check what was said is bullshit or not.

2 minutes previously you caught me snooping, tried to get me kicked out and was told no........ so who are we kidding here?

Of course, the blame for this issue rests unequivocally on behalf of the hyperbolic, worn-out exaggeration of the tired "bitch/hypocrite" character trope, whose actual purpose lies in becoming a "villain-turned-ally" confidant during their corresponding redemption 'arc'—thereby validating your complaint.

I really get it; I do! It compels you to crave some rather unhonourable "ungentlemanly retributions," but don't let it get to you, though, since they are merely in their introduction chapter. The critical nature of their character matters after, past all the facades she put up—call it a fruit of your labour, if you will.

I favour fantasy corruption games, so please take it with a grain of salt, but I do believe that her true nature is actually worth the bitchy counterpart you, unfortunately, have to weed out, but, fortunately, via unorthodox methods!
It is also unfortunately a relative marathon until you reach the desired plot point, though.

Every time she talks to you she's either telling you to fuck off, shut up, or how much of an idiot you are. Like... I get some people are into that but I find it gets old heh. Now I'm reliably informed she gets better, but right now she's such of an awful character that it's actively impacting my desire to continue the game. I get the bitch character trope mentioned by BoundlessReality is all too common in porn games but there needs to be a line, or some explanation to warrant the behavior, otherwise you're literally just playing a game for it to shout abuse at you. I can do that by phoning up my ex and saving me the bandwidth required to download the game.

No you're spot on, I haven't and certainly others who have responded to me agree with you and really stress that I should stick it out. My problem is more she's so unlikeable to begin with that the urge to continue, to push through as it were, isn't really there. Especially when you speak to other characters and they're all "oh I think she likes you". believe me when I say this I'm.. actually I was in the same boat as you (for that character, Leah) and I am in the same boat as you when it comes to bitchy characters.
Lucky thing for me was that when I picked up the game she was already in the last updates a lot more nice than what she started so .. that's the thing that made me keep play , cause I know at one point she will be acting better with MC and I won't have to wait 6months + for that.
But in the end it pays off , at least for me, I was/am quite happy with her, she's a loyal character, as far as I remember, cause I haven't played the game in .. 10+ updates.

Pretty sure Nadia was introduced after I stopped playing (didn't stopped cause the game was bad but because I wanted and still want more content).
But from what I've read.. yea.. Nadia .. even after she got better .. she's not a nice character(from the comments I've read), I'll see for myself when I'll play it.

Let me try to say it so. Its like with People who you see for the first time but you know you hate this Person. That is/was Nadia to me. And i think that the most People who play this game will think so. But she has her reasons too why she behave like she do. Like everone else in this game.

The majority of characters you consort with throughout the game aren't cutthroat hypocrites or downright bitchy; for instance, Alice, Yuki, Hazel, et cetera, generally come off as cordial and respectful during most active interactions you stumble upon—and those characters are faithfully on the priority marker nearly every update, mind you - they are essentially the focal points of the game, per se. That's what you should primarily look forward to.

Nevertheless, if you find Leah's attitude bothersome far down the storyline, try minimalizing your interaction with her via automatic text skipping or simply avert your gazes from the screen when she appears, I suppose.

I think this is an underrated aspect of the game. There're so many characters available that you're bound not to like some of them. I for one think Sonya is pretty one dimensional -- fortunately, there are so many girls, and so much content, that textskipping one girl will still leave you with hours and hours of enjoyable gameplay, story and character interactions.
