I for one don't mind the slow Emily build. I waited episodes for another game, but not hanging around it for months (and years) in that game's case for the ending.

Other VNs go too quick on the lewd scenes. This game has Ash and Sam scenes for those who need eye candy. Em is not that way, and I don't think she will be, even after she fully commits herself to the MC. Other games give players what they want right off the bat, the really good and great ones, make them wait.

To me, the story with the MC and Em is wonderful. They both have no idea what the hell they're doing with relationship stuff. They'll learn together and the story between them is really very well done.

Yes, I am with you 100%. Mindless sex is not exactly hard to find on the internet. The writing and characters is what draws me into the VNs here. Sure, if it is strictly no sexual content at all, I am not really interested, but I love the slow build up.
I pretty much love all the VNs on your list Except for Milfy City (because the dev abandoned it, without admitting it), and Treasure of Nadia, mainly because I don't like grindy VNs, especially if they are not using RenPy. But Acting Lessons is a masterpiece, really, despite the very controversial ending. And of course CoBD and DA are incredible.

One of my favorite VNs here is Deluca Family which still has basically very little sex after years of development. Someday, it will happen. In Halfway House, taking forever with Emily just makes it more fun for me, because she is so conflicted about what she wants, which makes her scenes very funny. I love the scene in the coffee shop, for example, in her cute waitress outfit. Her attitude and dialog was priceless.

I'm replaying the game for the 4th time this week, and that's where I left off in the last session. I figure by Ep 10 Em and the MC should be a thing. The main "conflict" in this game centers around Ash, but I'm curious to see how the MC and Em handle it. But once he confesses to her, and she's ready and open for it, the story is going to be really good I think. I've grown to love and adore Em in the couple of weeks I started playing this game.

My only hope right now is that the MC matures a bit. Right now he's basically a big baby wannabe thug. I don't think Em is going to tolerate that much longer. He always wants to act tough, be cool, but he comes across as being, as Em and Ash say, an idiot.

I know he's a punk kid, but I hope Em clears his headspace a little bit, calms him down, and he begins to mature and grow more.

Finishing my game from yesterday and really noticing how immature the MC is. Man he needs to have a wake up call. At the doc's office in ep 5 he's thinking about how they're "undermining his masculinity". What masculinity? He's been a big baby this whole time.

I really REALLY REALLY(!!!) hope all of this with him changes and he matures. Seeing him act, think, and talk like a 5-year-old is my main issue with this game. I really doubt Emily would keep letting him act that way once they officially became a couple. He really needs a few hand grenades thrown at him to get him out his "thug stupor" he's in.

Well then don't keep asking for updates on multiple sites, but look for information or follow the developer or game thread.
Because no matter which sites I'm on, you're the one who shows up the most regarding the update question.

Yup - clean mac (older version) unpack/install, downloading latest/newer pc version.
Cut the "game" folder from that older mac version, backup it somewhere, cut "game" folder from pc-version, and put it where removed mac-game folder was.

I don't know if it's bad, and with me being 2 1/2x his age, maybe it's just me. But I guess I'd like to see more seriousness. The stitches, the eating of the food in the hospital. I've had casts on my dominant hand and was just fine. I've had stitches, I didn't need hand holding.

Maybe it's just me and my upbringing compared to the MC and his.

But I do hope Emily makes him more serious in some way. Like I said I guess it's me since I'm going to be 46 in three weeks.

And maybe playing other VNs with more serious MCs (like CoBD, Depraved Awakening or even Acting Lessons) made me more "picky" on dialogue. Or maybe it's just I've played the game 4 times in a week and I just really began to nitpick.
