I'm at ep 8 and yeah, this VN is a bit weird with this 1 real LI.
To be honest Ashley is too much of an asshole in the beginning, just plain mean and not even trying, I only chose certain paths to not miss content with her; so that kind of breaks the immersion. Samantha is also kinda weird sometimes but probably still the most balanced, and likeable character.
On the other hand MC is also weird and really hard to identify with, so there's that...
interesting how the main characters drive cars with german plates and the rest are erased UK plates..

just got past the start and got to the part where they say dinner is at 2100 is this normal for people ? never seen anyone eat dinner later than 1830 nor have i ever heard of anyone eating later (other than nightshift people) yet i keep seeing such things in games like this. so i am wondering.

It's quite normal around the world, especially in warmer places, where the sun stays out for longer. Here in Brazil, even in the south (where the climate is colder), most restaurants open for dinner around 19:00 and stop receiving customers between 23:00 and midnight; most customers arrive between 20:00 and 22:00. This is usual in Southern Europe, too. I don't have much experience with the US, but I assume people would eat earlier, generally, as settlement of the country began in New England, a colder area.

As a resident of New England, I can tell you that restaurants around here generally start serving dinner around 17:00 and wrap up around 22:30, but the "dinner rush" is usually between 18:00-20:00. It probably shifts back a little later in the summer when the days are longer and people are active later, as well.

I like this game I really do for the girl's and the story but thats about it.
I can honestly only play it in small doses as to me atleast the MC its a conpete tool.
Also think he may have some adhd too.
Seriously what moron gets that distracted when cooking food especially BACON.
And judging by most of his inner thoughts he's a dick head.
But then again that kinda makes sense when you consider that even when indoors.
He's always got that condom on his head.
Just sayin.

He probably DOES have ADHD, given how his character acts.

Keep in mind he had a poor upbringing, then was put in juvie for three years, it kinda makes sense he wouldnt be the most well developed person. But going by my definition of "dick head" (someone who is a jerk, and is completely unaware) he doesnt really come off as a dick.

The MC of this game had a bad home life as a kid, so I dont imagine his parents ever sat down with him and explained basic etiquette. In fact I think it makes perfect sense for an 18 or 19 year old boy who grew up largely on the streets, then went to juvie, to think that wearing a beanie even in hot climates is cool. Mind you, I certainly dont find his hat to be fashionable, I just misunderstood your initial statement.
