Development costs nothing but time (all development tools are free). There's nothing in the desire to get on Steam except the greed for money - to snatch some more from the corpse of the game.
I heard from a dev that some character models need to be purchased from asset stores, but I'm not sure about the pricing.

Yes you can buy models, animations, props and even whole locations. It's not that expensive (10-100$), and the main thing is that it's a one-time cost, usually at the beginning of development. But more importantly, almost all of it can be found for free, even here on F95. There are other places as well.
Anyway - he bought everything a long time ago, and now he has no costs. Even if he wants to buy 5090 his monthly earnings will be more than enough.

this game and it's developer ethics are a prime example of why i never buy anything on steam that is early access or have a crowd funding account.
only 1 out of 271 bought games in my steam library is early access and i was high on pain meds that day. it is not a game seen here.

if a developer is not invested enough in the project to risk anything then why on earth would i? if i like it once it is complete then i will buy it like i have others already, providing the asking price is justified.
using open source materials to create their game and crowd funding are just two easy exploits for legal teams to fight piracy claims.
keeps this site from breaking the law so all good for me

Holy heck, thought this was abandoned. Followed this since the beginning...
There's another one where MC is like some shorta Jean Claude Van Damme martial arts type lone wolf hunk stoic as fuck and man those characters in that game were SO HOT, like picked very well, all MILFY and shit high quality humanlike. Never seen a single mf update on that one and I forgot it's name even it's been that long.

I'd love it if that shit shows up random like this with an update. I'd play from the beginning.. :HideThePain:

i agree. does some bonus junk, instead of the actual story. Its been almost 14 months since the last update. most would be marked as abandoned or on hold by now.

i am amazed any idiot would fund any project that has 'bonus' content. they are already paying that dev to create a project and then the developer makes the arbitrary decision to award their top funder by creating less game, diverting time to creating side projects instead of just making MORE game content. it's delusional.
fools and their money.....

the only people that can hold these idiots to account is their funders. yet they don't

I've purchased games on early access because it's a one time payment.
There is no WAY I'm paying "monthly dues" on patreon just so the game can get abandoned.
