Finished this game recently, took a look at this forum and all your comments, and discovered that a good handful of you, like me, were disappointed that Mei never gets fully nude in-game. And some of you may even know about how there are indeed nude CG alts for Mei as well in the game files, but they go unused in-game. And perhaps very few of you know that, of those unused nude alts, there isn't a nude alt of Mei's basic dialogue sprite.

Considering that, in my opinion, Mei has a cuter design than Hana, I decided that I wasn't satisfied with that. So I took it upon myself to do three things.

1: I found all the CGs with nude alts for Mei that I could find, and compiled a collection of images showing an example of how they might've looked in game.

2: I manually created a nude alt of Mei's basic dialogue sprite, using basic image editing techniques to keep things as close to the original style as possible. This is a fan made edit, and not official, but I made sure to keep it as close to official as possible. Heck, the nipples are even copy/pasted from the official unused CG alts. 3: I asked a NSFW artist to do the same, since he's more experienced than I am at this stuff, and I bet his work is much better compared to mine, since I've never done this before.

It's up to you guys to decide which of those edits you think looks better, but I just figured I'd put both here so that you all could see the full results of these efforts.

That just about concludes the results of my efforts to satisfy my wishes to see Mei nudity. There were a lot of things about this game that I enjoyed, and a lot of things that I disliked about it as well, but the lack of official Mei nudity was one of those smaller things that was just sort of mildly annoying to me once I got to the credits, so I just figured I'd take the initiative, and then move on to the next project.

I only just now learned that there's talk about a potential upcoming update to the game. If that's true, then I hope it turns out well. This game has a lot of potential, and I'd be happy to see it improve even further. Exhibitionism/exposure games are rare, so when they're done right, they're amazing. And this is exactly the type of game I'd love to see become even better.

Man you’re awesome. I’m glad I’m not the only one who snooped through the game files. I found her nude cgs too but unfortunately for me I’m not super into mei lol. The work you put into this is awesome and it looks great. I also used some of the assets to try and create my own image of Hana getting creampied, but I’m not very skilled. I’m going to look into that artist you mentioned, they seem like they copied the art perfectly and there’s so many things I’d like for them to make if they’re willing.

Personally, I think your edit overall looks slighly better that Qillers, and definitely more fitting with the game's style. Qiller did a better job with the crotch and the shape of boobs, but his shadowing looks somewhat weird, and nipples definitely look better on your edit

Sure. Go for it. I want to see this game improve, so having those extra statements would be a good way to build up some excitement.

This is interesting, because I got lucky. Qiller did this for me for free, because we happen to already know eachother through other unrelated reasons. I happened to already be acquainted with someone he works closely with, so we just got to know eachother through that mutual connection. With that context though, yeah, he was super easy to work with. All I had to do was put the context for my request into the chat, he responded "sounds easy enough", and then he got back to me the very next day with the finished product. But a big reason why it went so smoothly is probably because this was an extremely easy request to make; this game's graphics aren't all that complicated, and I was able to make my own edit in only around two hours, with most of that time spent fiddling around with the software because I had never made a nude edit before.

It's also probably a big reason why he did it for free; from the sound of it, he's busy with a lot of commissions, so this was a nice and easy project to do just for fun instead.

Regarding pricing: I haven't actually ever directly commissioned him for stuff before, but our mutual acquaintance has, multiple times, so I'd assume the pricing is very reasonable.

I'm in contact with him via Discord and that's where I made this particular request, but I first reached out to him via Twitter DM after our mutual acquaintance helped me find his account a good few months ago.

He very often makes art like this. ...kinda. His artstyle is actually a unique one I haven't seen very often, combining manual improvements with AI art. I get that AI art is a controversial topic, but his approach to it is probably one of the better ones I've seen; he doesn't just generate something and call it a day, he combs through everything with his own artistic eye afterwards to clean up the messes and tidy it up a ton. He does that on a big enough scale to be able to create multiple unique alts of the same one base pic, so you can definitely tell that most of the work is indeed done by hand. This particular style actually means that he often has to mimic the artstyle of whatever the base pic is, and his experience with doing that with so many different artstyles is probably why he was able to so easily mimic the artstyle of this graphically simple game.

And I'm sure he'd be willing to take on more projects like this. If there's a base pic, he can manage it easily. If he's starting from scratch, he'll generate the base then work his way up from there.

One final note about him: if you do decide to check out his work, definitely check out the visual novel he's working on. It's a heavy work in progress, but there are eyes on it to find improvements here and there. I'm part of that effort, actually. I was lucky enough to be chosen as the first playtester for the most recent update, and I helped to discover a few issues here and there that slipped under the radar. Also, our mutual acquaintance is onboarded for the project as the writer, and he did a phenomenal job as well.

Anyways, there's lots to enjoy about Qiller, so yeah, definitely check him out if you have the time.

This is why I uploaded both versions; I knew that there would be people who prefer aspects of mine over his, and vice versa, so I figured "why not give them all the best of both worlds?"

That aside though, thanks for the compliments! That was my first time ever doing something like that, after all. I'm glad it turned out well enough that someone found it to be even slightly better than that of a professional artist (although I personally disagree; I think Qiller did a better job lol)

“Artwork is finally finished!
With that out of the way, it's now time for the final piece of the update, which is to import and implement this final batch artwork, and the ones made during July as I was taking a half break during that time, working on the artwork but without touching the engine to implement it. Also still need to censor all of it.
Speaking of censorship, which only applies to DLsite, as Steam and Itch are both uncensored, the PTSD from the abominable experience that was releasing the game on DLsite is still very fresh in my mind. The idea is for the release to happen on all three platforms at the same time, but if DLsite puts on its ribbons and pulls the same thing again, I will push the release on Steam and Itch, which is instant, and just finish the DLsite release later once they feel like it. Fair warning here. I just hope I didn't jinx it...

Remember how in June I mentioned I had added a new persistent NPC event? Well, it was a simple and solid NPC event line, but I had the thought about being able to make it even better, as there were some ideas that popped up in my mind. So, I went back to give it a small revamp... 24000 words of script later though, I do question that decision a bit.
I'm almost certain this is the single lengthiest event line in the whole game. I'm comparing it other actual event lines, not NPC event lines. It's just an NPC event line, which are all fairly short and concise. How did this happen? Don't know! It's really weird. This is the lengthiest set of events, but as an NPC event line, there aren't any CGs made for it. It is all done through dialogue sprites, with it briefly reusing some of the new CGs for the later events. Also, seeing how big the event became, I think it now deserves a spot within the memory system, despite it just being an NPC event. Haven't added it to the memory system, but it's something I will probably end up doing before releasing the expansion.
Really curious to see the reception on this one, as it has an absurd amount of text, for good reason, while also making minimal use of CGs. It's a first for the game in that sense. Really curious to see what you think about it.

Unrelated question, why is Hana is looking back at us like that? What is this event and where is it going...?

Same, there’s no real reason not to other than his preference. Why keep us waiting when it’s ready at the push of a button. Happens all the time with other things like anime or games doing localization for other groups after the original language is published.

To be fair I don’t think anyone as of lately is displaying any uncalled for behavior. While yes he’s the developer and he can do whatever, it’s just like with anything else. If someone tells you “hey this will be ready tomorrow” and they take multiple weeks longer stringing you along, getting your hopes up, it’s annoying. I wouldn’t say I’m even hard on the guy, but man I’ve been seriously following this since like march and every month he posts “releasing may, and MAYBE June” then “June, MAYBE July” and has done that up until now. I think moving the goal post over and over is just a tease to fans and it’s natural to be disappointed. So while yeah I agree, it’s hard work and takes time, the unmet expectations suck.

Also, idk if you’ve read through this whole thread but well before the game actually released 1.0 people were cooking flimsy way worse than what we’re discussing. And also in terms of what is necessary for him, the whole DLsite thing is just silly imo. I already made the analogy to other media releasing dubs and translations after the original, he can do the same if it’s just ready. If you check his patreon and itch everyone’s pretty supportive of him directly including me in DMs. I just like to complain because it was anticipated for may. That’s just the downside of communicating schedules with fans.

Hey, I get it. Unmet expectations suck. This is indeed a well known risk in the field of game/project development; if you give a release date, you need to be certain that you can make that release date, or else you cause disappointment. And I agree that Flimsy could indeed be a lot better in that regard.

But even so, the reaction towards these delays is a bit less than comforting. I'm trying to imagine it from Flimsy's point of view. He's likely doing his best with what he's got, and I can tell that from each of his announcements on the matter. He's gonna get this done, there's no doubt about that. He's making sure we know that. And he's always optimistic about when it'll all be done. And judging from his comments, I bet he's just as upset as anyone else might be that the project isn't finished before each of his scheduled release dates. So it's nice to be understanding towards this, and let it run its course, knowing that while it sucks that it's not done sooner, we know it won't be much longer anyways. But unfortunately, there's a decent number of people who are definitely reacting in upsetting ways. You're right, it's not as much as it was before, but it's still there. Some people are doing it intentionally, while others may not realize that the things they say sound very pessimistic and stress-inducing. And imagining that from Flimsy's point of view... well, again, he seems to be handling it well, but I still bet that it's not a perfect experience. I'm just trying to be sympathetic towards that, because as someone who knows what it's like to develop large projects like this, I also know what it's like to deal with the folks who aren't always making us feel very good about it.

My current recommendation? Let's say that the release date for this update is "soon". We don't need to give it a specific date or time frame. Let's play it by ear instead.

...but also, it probably doesn't matter. I can't control how everyone reacts towards all this. Just wanted to voice my own personal concerns about it. I just have too much respect for game developers to have remained COMPLETELY silent on the matter.

I paid for the game on steam, to support the creator. It's a good game, improved many things and the memory room is very useful, the new events are also good although they are few, but still hanna's exposure reached the point of being alone with a man in a room naked, that's good. Good game. and for those who wonder, no, mei does not appear naked.

Seconding this. If there really is no easily viewable nude Mei content, then I'd love it if a modder (are there any modders even looking at this game? That'd be sweet.) implemented some content that would satisfy that. On that front, anyone looking to create mods for this has my full permission to use my fanmade nude Mei edit (as well as the other nude Mei edit that Qiller made, who has already given permission a while ago, so go ahead and either choose a favorite edit or mix the best aspects of both of them together lol), and on top of that, I will also provide the recreated game cg files that feature an official nude Mei but aren't ever actually seen in-game. I have attached those files to this message, from a previous comment I made not too long ago where I first documented all these.
