The bug was he accidentally added a picture. One day he opened daz studio for once. Got tired of the hard work it is to double click a desktop icon, and gave himself a break. His cat walked on the keyboard and the command for a render was pressed by a coincidence and send to his project folder.

I suspect he has the whole game finished already and is just drip feeding barely enough to keep the cash flowing in. If th cash flow dwindles, he adds a bit more. if it is enough, only add the bare minimum.
the old "do more with less" routine. always tried, never works in the long run.
One of the best games I've played. I hope it isn't abandoned. Good graphics, good story and no excessive grind.
