Here's the difficult truth: This game is a giant mess. It always has been a giant mess. It will remain a giant mess. Programmatically, this game is coded as if someone is trying to hammer in a nail with a fish.
For every variable, there is a point of failure. There are 176 pages of variables. There are over 5000 points of failure. It would only take 4 lines of code addressing what to do in the event of a variable failure, but after 5 years it hasn't been added. The only reasonable assertion that can be had is that this project is purposely being programmed to fail. And considering the personal details shared with us, there's a reasonable chance Caizer is unaware that he's sabotaging his own game with this convoluted structure. It's a masterclass of shooting yourself in your own foot. Every update, half the game and the new content is unplayable because of some bug that won't get fixed for 6 months because you have to chase down cascading failures through a never ending maze of ignorantly coded checkpoints. This is NOT the way to do it, and it is NOT worth subscribing for.
If this game is going to ever be playable, this checkpoint system has to be ripped out, shredded, and set on fire. And it's a god damned shame because the art style is pretty good
