Once, on another resource, i came across a very apt phrase about the developer "Ocean": "When a cat has nothing to do, he licks balls. When "Ocean" has nothing to do, he remakes the previous parts."

This author clearly suffers from the same. Even in a more advanced stage.
Why fix what is not broken? Instead of calmly continuing to move the story forward, the creator senselessly and mercilessly remakes what was already great before.

If you want to try something, change the style - well, do it in the next project. Or make a special episode timed to something (New Year, Halloween, etc.).
Or, if you have firmly decided that from now on you will do it in a different style - well, continue releasing it like this. (In the game, let the main character get hit on the head so that his vision blurs, his perception of the world changes. Now, look, he lives like this.) The main thing is to continue making NEW content - why the fuck cut and change the old one. Why ruin something that was great. I will never understand this.

Trust me, the first two chapters needed rework bad. If you haven't play both VN's in their first releases .. oh lord, that was something. Needed rework, after that, all good. But Hard To Love didn't even needed a rework at all. If story bothers the creator, ok, redo some parts that's it, not go on full AI skin bs that this VN has become at the moment.

Sadly too many devs are pulling this shit now. Why do a rework on your game, while it’s halfway done, save that for when it’s finished. It’s very frustrating to play some games and put in a lot of hours only for the dev to start a rework and all your saves are trash now cause you have to startover. I’m mostly talking about the godson game, but there are many other devs doing this too

I think it has to do that the devs maybe think if he/she finshes the game the funding will stop so they remake the game to have funding continue to flow in.

Well... another update where the dev keeps adding things that are frustrating. I like the story, I really don't have a problem with the dark theme or so.. but the supposedly animations? what are these non-consecutive, not animated stills with dialogue between supposedly animation frames.. .. also about the writing, at some point you need to play the game straight forward without missing 60% of the content or choose what content to view and not to

Example at night when you wake up, have the option to go to Amber, or Madison or Nanami or go to sleep or whatever but choose. Not going somewhere because in episode 3 you had a choice who in general is irrelevant... so you loose the Amber scene which you want to view and play the Nanami path which you don't care at all (in my case)

Don't let me start about the Avif format...

In general if a game is bad, I don't care, but this one could be a top, top-tier game but the implementation is so bad and weird etc...

Not in this case, the game barely started. It seems like the dev doesn't know what she wants, the development is a mess with 3 reworks, testing AI shit, and now avif format... Renders might be top tier (without the AI filter) but certainly not the project as a whole. The writing isn't very good either, though I didn't play the last iteration but I doubt it changed that much. Some scenes are good in isolation but that doesn't make a good game.

Apparently the developer left everything in the hands of the AI, for God's sake, what a grotesque thing this game has become.
Unrealistic skin texture and color (typical of AI)
Totally unrealistic and artificial genitals (most of the time) (typical of AI)
Depending on the position of the characters, some body parts become deformed (typical of AI).
Man, everything became as unrealistic and generic as most things made by AI.
If you had any hope that things would improve, you'd better give up. Unless you like seeing unrealistic and grotesque things.
Which is a shame the game already looked much better than many, now it looks worse than the average ai slop

as soon as I open the game I get this error. Not sure if it's related to the mod but as I go through the game if I ignore all images are missing and I get more errors as I go. I can ignore them all but all I see is a black screen with big red letters saying image... missing... I can see the dialogue text and nothing else. also whenever I right click to open menu get an error as well.

Its really strange what happened to this game the first release was extremely good and well written. The characters were charming and there was a lot of intrigue with the story. The releases were fine and fleshed out what was already there then suddenly the japan update happened and the writiing took a nonsensical nosedive then after that the ai art started pouring in and the reworks which made an interesting game into slop. Honestly no idea what happened but it feels like a different human being entirely is running this.

Yep, agreed. Seems like the dev sold the accounts, assets and other game code to someone else and they started shitting around thinking they had a golden goose that didn't need much effort.

First version of this was good up to the end with the cop walking up. 'A' game all around, then the (apparently because I never tried it) next chapter where things went to hell, and now this.

Here you go, found it. Not that it was hard to find) Include in this main post a lot of other aggressively defensive messages in Dev's Discord when people complained about downgrades of using AI and unnecessary remake of the game.

Her answer to the wave of honest criticism, including her own patrons, with a lot of obvious examples of really bad AI renders with weird skin, fingers, body shapes, eyes, etc. It was written 8 months ago.
View attachment 4454389

Imagine supporting Dev and continuing to play her game after treating her own fan base like trash losers because of well-deserved and civil criticism (no one insulted or called her names). It's obvious that Dev herself is dishonest, immature, and unnecessarily aggressive/dramatic as characters in her own game :KEK:
imagine making games for the same audience shes trying to sell her game and call out names and disrespect us like that, ty for your screenshot, i will ignore this game now.
