I get that part but through work I know real women who are actual abuse victims, rape victims, alcoholics and addicts, have bad marriages with both negligent and abusive husbands, and one is even a former convict who killed her abusive husband in his sleep and none of them act this badly towards others. None of them go from love to hate to love to hate in one conversation. They have triggers and traumas yes but it just doesn't manifest this way. In fact they tend to go out of their way to support one another because of shared traumas. Like I get the mom is a trophy wife and the kids also to some degree but they share their traumas and would be more inclined to support each other because of it and not actively tear each other down. And maybe the real problem is I'm not getting enough sense of their back story issues to understand why it's not this way. I mean when Amber is a foul mouthed, aggressive person with violent tendencies who supposedly raised Isabella out of loyalty to the MC and the entire household is attacking each other over every little thing then how did Isabella turn out to be a relatively sweet quiet bookworm? Sure she has her own abandonment issues but they don't mesh with the level of crazy in the household. Especially Madison who is the same age and was raise with her. It just doesn't feel cohesive as one story enough to outweigh the awful behavior of the characters and keep my interest in how it'll be resolved into a harem game. That said I guess the point I was trying to make originally though is it's not enjoyable in a game to read through pages of arguments, hate and general nonsense sprinkled with bits and pieces of story and relationship building. Especially when it's not that realistic and doesn't add to the story. Proper story writing generally has conflicts and resolutions and the characters change and grow as you progress. And maybe this one will eventually. I honestly hope it does because there are aspect of the game I like and the characters are unique which is nice.
