I'm basically isabella or bust at this point. Dont really care for the models of either sister and the mom is really hit or miss, some scenes she is attractive and some she looks all fucked up. Maybe check back after a handful of updates to see if anything has changed with the daughter.

I've only just started this one, but, holy hell are they trying WAY too hard to force a relationship between the MC and Antobella or whatever her name is. I do hope you are not forced to date her cause it's not gonna feel natural at all. It doesn't help that the MC is your typical spineless wanker who sputters like an idiot whenever he has to actually say something and lets the girl walk all over him.
Hopefully the game picks up, because visually the game is great.

Hi,
The script and storyboard for Episode 6, "Whispers from Yesterday", are now complete. The episode includes eight scenes and does not contain flashbacks.
All LIs will appear except for Paz and Arlette. Antonella's "presence" will also return to MC's life.
Episode 6 offers a mix of wholesome moments, intimacy, ecchi, and crime. I've carefully tailored the locations to suit the game's geography. It was a tough search, particularly beyond Daz3D, but worth the effort! Some locations from the past episode will be familiar, while others are brand-new discoveries.

It's the same with every games, some choices are just short term to change how the next scene is playing, not more.
Though it seems they forgot the choice with Arlette (girlfriend in Osaka), you can reject her via phone message.

how is that different from every other thing in life...be it a vn, a movie or simply a choice of chicken choking location...gonna get meaningless choices everywhere it's just the spice of life
* havent played this update, I understand devs explanation of why it was done but yet....I'm too anal and cheap with my data to be downloading standalone chapters (yes I replay the majority of the stories every update), will wait till it's put together again

Hard to love the Li’s... all have bitchy and slutty attitudes and even isabella will become despicable? ! wtf
This is the first VN where no Li’s interest me (especially because of their behaviors.)
I expected a lot of seasons 2 but it’s just worse.

I feel a similar way to some extent. I'm hoping the story will dilute the gravity of the arguments as it is added to over time. Maybe the back-to-back-to-back conflict scenes will feel less centered later. It would be nice if all the bickering would at the very least become more variable and nuanced rather than just full out "Housewives of Hard To Love" style.
Summer's Gone hasn't had any real sex in four and a half chapters, but contextually, the developer wants to create thirty. Right now it feels like there's too much setup, but once one realizes how big that novel is supposed to be, the setup feels warranted. Maybe all this bitching and moaning in this VN will feel less annoying when there's a bunch more taboo scenes and some lewd group sex with more moaning and less bitching later on!
The art and presentation are fucking gorgeous though. I'm relieved this is a harem VN so I don't have to choose between any of them.

To be fair, SG is like the posterchild for "eye candy VNs with bad writing". The controversy over it has caused the fanbase to be comically defensive because it constantly gets criticism on the writing side of things and for being a porn game with no sex and flaccid edgelord MC. I feel like H2L might be going in that same direction, even if it's a bit more "weeby". Fantastic art, but completely unlikeable characters and nonsensical plot.
There are a few VNs like that where the pixel tits are the singular thing keeping people interested. Nothing wrong with that I guess, but I think good VNs stand out for having great visuals AND great storytelling. Hence visual novels. The cringier the writing gets, the more tempted I am to use that skip button to get to the "plot".
