Are you downloading from the JGNeon's post, like people advised you before, or are you still downloading the old mod from the front page that you were told hasn't been updated because nobody's heard from Lain? Not trying to sound harsh, just can't think of of another way to ask since it seems to be working for everyone else.
Nope i am downloading from the post they suggested! The name says its for 0.18.1 but when i run it to find storyline for the characters it still says it looks at 0.17. Have you used it and does it state 0.18 when you check story line like the picture i posted?

No it does not affect the timeline of the story, If you can't progress in a timeline check the New WIKI for answers.

Me too, I had this error when I the garden was done being upgrated. I just continued and the game worked fine.

i think the problem with the garden is that when you have plants growing the game rolls and checks for bugs in the garden bed, which might kill the plant, or if jin (weather shes working in the garden or not) gets rid of them
if you have things growing in the garden when you upgrade it, the game locks you out of being able to mess with the garden, aparently the game doesnt skip these checks and returns an error when the upgrade is finished if something happened
ignoring the error allows you continue with the only side effect being a possibility of losing some of the plants you were growing (i once had to reset a growing plot, but it was a simple in game button click to fix it)
this is all mostly just conjecture based on reading the error log, i wouldnt know how to fix it

considering Maid Lain Is MIA hasnt been on site since march then prolly no JGNeon only took over since Lain is gone
JGNeon said that it would be safe to possibly play a next update safely even if removing the mod, the save game should be fine. If you remove the mod from the save, do the extra scenes and stuff added by the mod just disappear without any bugs and consequences?

I don't have any saves cuz been a long time since i played so a fresh start, but updated it to 0.18.2 and applied mod over (0.18.1), it seems it works well, I can use the mod GUI, no errors no nothing so far. Not sure on later parts of the game tho. My guess is being bugfixes, it should be good to go as it is.
