Yeah, I used to be able to draw a hand when that was all I was doing, but putting one on a person is another story.I still find it funny that any AI always seems to have problems with drawing hands, and there could be made some comparisons with people that just started drawing.
So I always look for hands when I see AI images and I am not disappointed;
Android looks like she got 6 fingers
And Marias nails are looking funny
TLDR; Human or AI, drawing hands is hard.
That said, I do wish people would stop with this AI obsession, the art is just ...gross, and way too 'samey'. Even if you ignore the hands and other things it can't do, it's just wrong. Like, look at the lips (on the ones that have them), they were mostly the same, and only looked decent on a couple of them.
Don't get me wrong, it has its uses, but the marked it already over-saturated with it, and people are losing their jobs over it.
I can't say I would want to play a game that uses it for the art, the more I see of it, the less I like it.

Capitalism is gonna capitalize and any advancement that makes something more accessible to the masses, will be used to save the board a few bucks at the expense of the final product and people in general.
AI art is awesome if you can't art or don't know an artist or can't afford one yet, and have a story you want to tell.
The McCorporateGameAndArt studios of the world will be sure to make us all hate it though as they replace all their amazing in house talent for pennies on the dollar.
No, it's broken and inconsistent, and anyone can use the Illusion games or whatever to make art, it just takes some practice.

Ya … I figured it was a first pass down and dirty proof of feasibility exercise.
I said 60%-80% were improved.
Which is a huge amount.

I figured that with my upvotes and the improved comment I could share where I saw that the AI “improvement” … wasn’t.
Specifically if Ash looses her sometimes crazy eyes. (Which was DigDug69’s comment)
Also the AI seem to add bunny teeth when it sees bunny ears.
And OFC the hands but whatever.
Consistency could also be an issue … don’t want to have 12 “different” versions of a character.
It raises lots of great possibilities… and it will only get better with time.
I tend to try and identify the broken parts to correct or to maintain consistency on a project.

Tech has to be used to get better. And if koikatsu isn't the look you're going for, it's not gonna work... Also not everyone has infinite time to learn things.
You don't have to like ai art, but it does expand the field of creators (I see this as a good).
It will also be abused by the same people who've abused every productivity advancement we've had since the industrial revolution (I see this as a bad).
Koikatu, HS, HS2, Daz, Blender, etc... Any look you want, you can get with minimal to some skill.
No, it makes people with no skills, think that they can do the same things that people who have trained their whole lives can do. All of whom will be eliminated because some pc can do their job, and who cares if it is accurate (it doesn't just fuck up fingers, it also fucks up math, facts, grammar, and anything else).

It‘s new so ofc it will be “the rage”.
I agree it has its shortcomings and it tends to make everything look the same.
But that happens IRL too … see California.
My thoughts are that it will eventually just be another tool for professionals.
But OFC you will always see shortcut takers using the tool to push out subpar offerings or create cheap products (by cutting out people typically)

It's just for general knowledge.
It demonstrates that AI is very very far away from being reliable.
In this case, ChatGPT just flat out made stuff up that sounded good, but was bogus as hell.

I have a question about the shower events. I remember playing a few versions ago there were shower scenes, including scenes when their stats weren't high enough where they would ask you to go away. In this version (17.2) I'm not seeing them in the showers at all so far. No scene telling me to go away or anything. I can check the camera on the computer and see that they are in there and check their room which confirms that they are in there, but when I check the showers there is nothing there. Is this normal?
edit: This is a fresh install, starting a new playthrough. Lains mod IS installed to the current version, if that matters.

i have checked every morning. confirming both on the computer and their room both before and after checking the shower room.

ok so I just reopened the game to reconfirm the issue I was having, and it seems that it solved itself somehow. No idea why it wouldn't trigger when I was playing last night but now it will. I guess it must have been an issue that just needed a closing of the game and restarting to fix the issue. I guess the basic advice of "Have you tried closing and restarting the game?" can make all the difference. Apologies for the inconvenience.
