Do you at all see what's happened in those quotes? You had complained about the cornwall event and I was completely open to hearing suggestions. Cornwalls events are pivotal to Lin's story because of the outcomes that could happen. Those specific events could possibly be replaced with alternatives if what I said above holds true.

And yes, I obviously don't want to hear for the hundredth time from the same person complaining about how bad and pointless you think something is if you don't see the full picture or understand why it's happening at all.

Exactly, if you don't like your story, if you do not enjoy the process, then it will show and the result will suffer for it. In the end, you have to enjoy what you make.
As the old saying goes, if you love what you do, you will never work a day in your life.

My last story, I worked on for over three and a half years, and by the end, I was tired of it, and it started to show in the lazy writing.

Friendship is the stat that tracks how far along the character's story you are. Just keep having scenes with the character typically through 'Talking' in their rooms.

Anyway, yeah, I got angry at Cornwall because, as I've stated a few times already, the writing and characters have actually pulled me in. That sort of thing doesn't usually happen to me, which is why I find it as impressive as I do. It's the same as people getting upset about a character in a book or movie having something bad happen to them, just because it's in a porn game doesn't make it any less impactful in my opinion.

Friendship is the game's event tracker - each time you click on the TALK option at a girl's door you start a story event and at the end that girl's friendship will increase by 1.
If you're stuck at a certain point: Either wait a few days (there's a delay inbetween story events for every girl so you can't do all of them at once) or progress with other girls first (there are a few instances where you need to have another girl's friendship at a certain level and I don't know/remember if Android has one of these cases).

After the kidnapping by the elves event in 0.6, I had an idea for another way they could be introduced if the contest never happened. I don't know what other fallout from the event is planned, that is all that had happened at that point.

You do realize they'd have no reason to interact with you right ?

At best they attempt to break in and take Lin. Even if we're being generous here and they succeed what good does that do for liberating them. It makes them criminals and reinforces the need for strict Elf law.
At worst they get "Misplaced" (read: killed, maimed, disfigured) for disobeying orders, fleeing their masters which they have no reason to do since they don't know there's a better world.
