Game is huge... avarage playtime is ~ 50hs so yes that dev time is completely normal.

While the updates do take a while (and it feels even longer for us fans who WANT MOAR NAO!), something to bear in mind is that all the updates are fully loaded. Every main girl generally gets a full dose of story and scenes and some of the "side girls" get content as well. Runey is also one of the most consistent devs around, not to mention actively involved in discussions, even with filthy pirates (although a lot of the people in this thread are / were patrons too).
HH isn't your typical "Fap 'n Go" game though. There is some serious story and world building in this one.

The dev got sick so this upcoming update is taking longer than usual, but honestly given the other games I like on here this is still a faster updating game :\
On top of this, I've underestimated the work required for some of the new features in v0.16, such as building new environments with history and characters with their own history, so that's adding a bit of time. And I've been running into some personal issues here and there during development which have also slowed things down. So yeah, this update is looking to be the slowest, but I'm not perfect.
I learned a new graphical trick today. By placing a mirror under water and adjusting some alpha values in photoshop, I can simulate water reflection!
The things I have to do for PS3 graphics are so silly, haha. And I still don't think I can fix the light refraction coming off of every character (like Emma's arm here).

Take your time. If it comes a bit later, then it is so.
From my memory, you're update comes out around 2 to 4 per year. Some other devs do it faster and some (a lot) slower, but you put a big chunk of content out each time. And if I would put a figure of merrit on this (updates, amount of content and quality) and "compare" it with others, I say you don't have to hide, even if 0.16 would not come out until December.

I just tried to download this game multiple times and I keep getting the same message every time. I got it once before on a different game and after like a day it let me download the game. I tried doing the same thing with this game by waiting a day and I still got the same message. I would try a different download link but IDK which one to use or anything. I have only downloaded using MEGA or GOFILE. I don't know how to use the other files
