Just wanted to say thank you for making an amazing game with harem, NO NTR and a little bit of wholesome ( Headpats thats indeed rare in games ^^ ). All girls look pretty and likeable with different personality. I appreciate all the love and efforts you have been putting into the game, also love the fact that protag isnt some generic asshole and he is considerate of other people ( Especially his waifus ) who are in trouble. Lastly no need to be stressed out about releasing things earlier just take your time.

So how finished is the game at this point or is there any idea when it is planned to be finished? I held out as I wanted to wait until it was complete, but perhaps I am waiting in vain and should just play iot as is

Play as is. Already hours upon hours of content.
I would consider waiting for the next update, just so the bugs are fixed, but otherwise yeah, play now, there are fixes here for the bugs.
This update is taking a lot longer than the others, there were early build releases of it a couple months or so ago, is it just riddled with bugs or something, what's going on? I ask because I'm not a patron and Runey hasn't said much on their twitter regarding it. Past precedence has been about a month after initial builds are given to patrons for the public release with a bug udpate launched a week or two following that

Runey is having legal issues right now and that has taken him away from the game for a while, How long I don't know but it must be serious enough for him to postpone the next release of the game. My thoughts and prayers are with Runey as he takes care of these issues and returns to a normal life.
Legal issues? Concerning the game? I legit can't otherwise think of why that would delay the game update unless they threw 'em into jail.

I can understand your frustration however I and many others are waiting patiently for any news. And FYI Runey does feel bad about what's going on but I see no reason to blow this out of proportion. The one legal issue I know about is his Fathers estate & Probate. other than that even I don't know what is going on.

Besides that Runey has said from day one that THIS GAME IS FREE. So if him being late with updates upsets you then I feel sorry for those around you because you have neither empathy or sympathy for what the rest of the world goes through.

The legal issues more than likely concern his father's estate after his passing. Even with a signed will and everything in order, probate and the subsequent administration of an estate can take around a year.
But Runey has also moved to another country, which itself has its own issues that might have to be dealt with.
Vanessa's first event was a coffee date at college...

I was looking into including it on a multi-fix patch of sorts, but then v0.18 entered beta and I decided to wait for its release... If I had known we'd still be waiting, I'd have gone through with it.
Its saying this kind of shit that enables lazy developers. You are gonna get flamed to kingdom come, but honestly that is the issue exactly.
I would even go so far as to say why do we all know so much detail about the dev's personal life and situation? It's totally inappropriate. It has just become the norm that many devs nowadays start telling the whole world about their personal issues - every other dev nowadays has some long dramatic saga about how their grandma has cancer, or they just had kids and they are struggling to adapt to their newfound responsibilities, or they themselves have a major health issue, or their relative died and they are dealing with closing out the estate, etc. etc. etc... This is not exclusive to adult games either by the way... I have seen the same exact thing on a lot of indie game projects. You know what they all have in common though? PATREON. You do not see this business on Steam games. You see it in spades on games where people are not paying a fixed price for a product, but rather paying a monthly subscription type fee to "support" the game.
The cold hard truth is *everyone* goes through shit like this. That's life. The difference is that 99.99% of us don't stop working for several months to years at a time over it and still collect income. It really feels like what we are starting to see is a blending of game development support platforms becoming quasi-gofundme-ish, and it's sutbly implied that "ohhhh you should just keep throwing money my way because, um, feel bad for my situation and stuff..."
That's why a few people with thick skin who are not afraid of getting flamed (myself included) don't feel like absolute monsters speaking up about it. This stuff is going a tad bit too far, keep your personal life personal. If you are going to take a hiatus from developing for several months maybe just let your supporters know that and throw the Patreon on pause instead of just playing harp strings with gullible folks' emotions and milking them as long as you can get away with it?
