You shouldn't oversell the release schedule lol, game's been getting 2 updates a year since 2022 and now 1 since 2023.Normally, we get 2-4 large updates a year, but this has been a bad year for the dev, so things are going more slowly than usual.

Well, I have been following since the beginning, so I am going with an overall average. You shouldn't oversell the release schedule lol, game's been getting 2 updates a year since 2022 and now 1 since 2023.
Aha, so, you say that his statement isn't true? Cause it is the same as mine. You shouldn't oversell the release schedule lol, game's been getting 2 updates a year since 2022 and now 1 since 2023.
Posting about a schedule that hasn't been true for 2 years and counting is dishonest at best. So yeah don't say 3-4 a year.Aha, so, you say that his statement isn't true? Cause it is the same as mine.
I didn't. I said 2-4 a year. and that is an accurate average.Posting about a schedule that hasn't been true for 2 years and counting is dishonest at best. So yeah don't say 3-4 a year.
Good, your not dishonest yourself. As from Patreon the 0.17.2 was released at 17th of June 2023. Today we have the 24th of Agust 2024, this makes 434 days since 0.17.2 was released.Posting about a schedule that hasn't been true for 2 years and counting is dishonest at best. That's the time since the even slower release schedule (1 time a year). As of early 2022 it's been slowing down (2 a year), that's how you get the 2 years.Good your not dishonest yourtself. So, please show me the math behind, without celling function how that could lead to two years.

To be fair, representing the release cadence as an average throughout the last six years seems disingenuous to most people who are unaware of the game's history because of how much significantly larger the gap has become; given the last two updates plus 0.18 upcoming would be a single update per calendar year.I didn't. I said 2-4 a year. and that is an accurate average.
While true, this last year was an exception, not part of the rule at large, and while it does slow down the average, it not indicative of his usual work. The couple before that were a bit slower, but they were also pretty large, especially if you count all the remade stuff, and new assets we created for it. Not to mention new mechanics like the phone and garden. To be fair, representing the release cadence as an average throughout the last six years seems disingenuous to most people who are unaware of the game's history because of how much significantly larger the gap has become; given the last two updates plus 0.18 upcoming would be a single update per calendar year.
I honestly don't mind it though, Runey's given us a lot already over the last six years. Most games would be abandoned by now...
Depends on the results. What a Legend is on that phase of long updates and it's one of my favorites, but at some point things turn into Summertime Saga.Personally, I prefer the larger, slower updates, but that's me.
That would be ideal. But look at some other AVN's that we both play, it's 6 months sometimes 7 between each update. I am with the others, I'd rather wait 6 months for a long quality update than 2-3 months for 15 minutes of an update. My ideal would be 3 to 4 updates per year for Harem Hotel.
Sure, I agree. Yet, based on this game release history, I think 3 updates per year isn't that far fetched, without RL hassle. That would be ideal. OK thanks for the info, how is the dev doing now? Sorry to hear it's been rough year for the dev.Normally, we get 2-4 large updates a year, but this has been a bad year for the dev, so things are going more slowly than usual.
