No i think its because of the old version of the cheat mod its 0.17 and the game version is 0.18. I reextracted without mod and it works fine now.

When it comes to mods, any that needed to be updated with each release can not be safely used in future releases of a game, unless they have been updated.
I would not count on Lain's mods for any of the games that they made mods for, being updated any time soon, if ever.

yeah, i'v looked at the code. it is amazingly complex. nothing like what i dabbled in 20 years ago...

While i prefer to get the mod, it is not necessary to enjoy the game. It would just make the game less grindy ($$$).
