And the thread is down in the gutter again. It is long, long time ago this thread was centred about the game itself and not on tertiary or secondary topics at best.
Android will get into femdom mode for you all and Ashley will get her knife pout again.

Repeat of last summer, including some of the "guest" appearances. Unless Runey gets back into a 2-3 yearly update routine again, it simply isn't going to go away(likely wouldn't anyways). Harem Hotel has finally hit peak traffic like so many other popular game threads here on F95.

Oh, and in case anyone is curious, for the record, I have never charged Runey for any of the assets I make for him. I don't charge my friends, and besides, I feel like I owe Runey for all of the years of entertainment.
I am poor, and can't afford to support anyone financially, so I do what I can to help out some of the devs who make games I like, when they want it. Some I do tech support, some I do proofreading, some I do testing, some I donate assets, and so on. It is how I give back to the community.

I do testing on a lot of games (including my own), and before that, I have done it professionally. Sometimes bugs can happen that you don't even notice for a long time. Alphas and Betas are like that. If you don't want broken saves and you don't want to replay the new content when it goes live, then don't play alphas or betas. This is just basic common sense (something that tends to be lacking in a lot of people now days).

Also, I know the way a lot of these games are designed, and cheating certain stats, like in the example here of skipping events, might allow you to trigger the newest event, but it will not set all of the right flags along the way, so your save will be useless going forward, they were put there to test things, not to play the game. You can easily soft lock, or even brick your game. It is just not worth the risk.

While it can be nice to get things early, you need to know what you are getting into and be prepared for what you are going to have to deal with, but most people here don't pay enough attention, and only use one save for their whole game... It is a recipe for disaster that I have seen play out more times than I want to count.

As for Runey, yes, he used to be a lot more active here, but then last year, a lot of people decided to give him a bunch of shit over his last update being slower than usual, while he was dealing with his father's death and a bunch of other crap. After months of that shit, he finally just stopped checking in here that much. I do try to pass on anything important that happens though.
You do a hellofa a job bud ! I always giggle at the trolls on these types of FREE experimental testing sights. Any author (gaming/writer/whatever) can never write as fast as the players/readers can burn through it. Either search for completed games only if you're that impatient and bitchy...otherwise, just enjoy the ride along the way and STFU ! hahahaha

He is getting back into the groove again, but with the size of these updates, and the work that has been going into them, I would be surprised if we get more than two a year again. There are just too many characters for that, and shorter updates would have people bitching that their favorite did not get any screen time, or how they updates are shorter than they used to be, or something similar. We already get some of that bitching with the side girls as it is.

I really don't get the complaints about update times. If you're a supporter, and you're not happy with the speed/content of updates, you can decide your money isn't being used well that way and stop supporting Runey (or any other creator, as these seem to come up in a lot of threads). Even then I don't think Runey owes you updates on any particular schedule, but at least you're in a sense paying for the product. If you aren't (and I'm not), what business is it of yours? Sure, we'd (presumably) all like more frequent and content-rich updates (I presume that because it seems odd to be active on this thread and not like the game, and if you like it, you probably want more of it). And sure, you're as entitled to an opinion as anyone else. But why are you taking the time to gripe about something you aren't paying for and can't control?

Don't ruin yourself getting upset what other people spent their money on. You do not have to pay for Harem Hotel, you can download it for free from Itch. If you want to contribute to project, you can, if you do not feel like you are getting enough from your contributions, then you can always choose not to contribute. I like Harem Hotel but I also do not see myself contributing money into it, for the whole lot of zero money I put into it I surely get a lot out of it. I did spot check last few pages of this thread and I see people getting upset at other people for not getting upset at the creator like they do.

I, however, enjoy Elven tiddies and hope Harem Hotel will continue to add content, even if I will have to wait years for it. Not going to pay anything for it ever though.
