It could be, I mean, doing it at least once should be required, but that said, it is not in the game yet, so hard to say what will happen in the near future. We know it's getting close though. That said, more than anything, I just want to unlock the 'sleep with' option for her, no sex needed.
The only vending machine is Ice Cream Vending Machine-chan, and that is not a bug. You don't own her, vending machines are typically owned and filled by other companies, who rent the floor space.

I started playing this, as it has very high review score and a lot of reviews. I'm fairly in the early but it's kind of boring so far... is it getting better later? i mean it's not a bad game, or anything, but still i don't see it being a 4.7 from 350+ reviews, unless it gets a lot better after some time
You are just being introduced to the world, wait until you get into the story.

If you're expecting the eternum experience because of similar worldbuilding, nu uh. This is not a conglomeration of HEY THAT THING I SAW ON TIKTOK, it is an almost fully realized place and people and you're not from around here, and that includes custom, culture, and worldview. If you're just expecting a fap gallery with really binary forks you can save->back around this is not that title.
It's one of the most nuanced harem games ever made, and plays accordingly. Technically speaking you're the protagonist but not necessarily the main character or even the hero 100% of the time.
