is it not possible to implement a way to see which version a "save" was saved in? like the version number on the bottom of each save on the save/load screens. i believe i have seen this "feature" in other renpy games. could actually be useful in many ways

It is possible, as I've seen it in other games too. Even more a variante, for mods (that breaks game save compatibility), [game version][mod version] could be helpful too.is it not possible to implement a way to see which version a "save" was saved in? like the version number on the bottom of each save on the save/load screens. i believe i have seen this "feature" in other renpy games. could actually be useful in many ways
