I wish the museum scene contained more subtlety in the world-building and (especially) character interactions to make the allegory in a more insightful and less condescending way, but I'm just some fapper on the Internet. And to be fair, Hollywood hasn't done any better.

Are there plans to make more old scenes viewable in the scene gallery? I just did Kate's new events and she mentioned a shower scene I have absolutely no recollection of and I want to see it now. Also A+++ on the Kate events, I feel like the side cast is starting to get better than the main cast for me XD

Right? I get her way more now, which what I think was intended. I didn't think of her as stupid by any means. I thought she was rather clever and maybe overly analytical at worst. After the second new event I feel much closer to her, as a fellow nerodivergent person.

You don't have to do the exhibition stuff, enless it's apart of their story. I don't touch it at all. Maria does it on her own quite a bit but that's her.

Not doing any exhibition stuff leave hardly any content. I was not to happy how Vanessa turned out at all in this newest version. But seems that all this game is about now. Reminds me of the game "Corruption" which I stopped playing. Parading your girls around for other men just makes me sick lol.

They parade around for other girls too but I see what you're getting that. But remember this is a porn game and will show off any girls as much as possible. If I was to guess, i'd say you are a girl too and don't like them being presented that way. I sympathize a bit,

Anyone by chance have a fix for making the textboxes (and box border) transparent? The usual file i load in to the game directory seems to have no affect so I'm guessing there is some other bit of code by the game dev which takes precedence. Tried a quick and dirty change on the 00style.rpy file but that just threw warning and resulted in no change. Any suggestions are appreciated.

I interpreted the Republic of Caliber formation world-building to be an allegory for the American Revolution (independence from the Capitol being independence from the British Empire) with a bit of the French Revolution (King Michael = Louis XVI) for flavor, and the elves as American chattel slaves. The allegory I refer to is the obvious contradiction of the origin myth of Liberalism overtaking Monarchy when masters and slaves still exist under the same system of laws. It's an interesting idea to play off different perspectives of the Republic of Caliber origin myth with a history buff who knows the story of the victors (Maria), a devout who knows the story as framed in religious scripture (Autumn), and someone who knows how the story as was known at the time it happened by the losing side because she was alive at the time (Lin), though both Maria and Autumn (neither of whom are characteristically unempathetic) are played for as uncaring fools in just this scene to highlight how correct Lin is about it. I could buy Autumn acting naively dismissive, but Maria seemed off.

Even today, true causes of conflict are obfuscated for political gain by one faction or another, so the story one hears from memory may not be the entire story depending on where its heard from, and obviously the official history makes the winning side look the best it can. Capturing that uncertainty of events described between the three (with a slight tilt toward Lin being more right because she is herself a primary source on many events) would have elevated that scene without making two of the girls into jackasses.

The American Revolution does not have much to do with Harem Hotel actually. This may not be clear in game, so I'll clarify it here.

The pope (or some fantasy title equivalent) wanted to spread his religion across the world. When they attempted this, they found Syl'anar. After they manifested their destiny, all across Syl'anar, human kingdoms replaced the elvish ones. At this point, Syl'anar was a shattered nation of Kingdoms, which slowly turned into an empire. That empire turned into a democratic republic when a form of the industrial revolution began on Syl'anar.

There wasn't a war of independence, and Syl'anar didn't start off as a republic. An empire just evolved into a republic. There were also no civil wars in Syl'anar, unless you count slaves rising up three times. The roots of the empire are still deep in Syl'anar.

It is also my intention to show Maria, and especially Autumn to be ignorant here. Just to show how everyone sees things. These things they're ignorant about will be understood by them at some point. Like Maria recently says in her latest events... "I never hated elves, but I always saw them as... them. Not us. This slavery situation is a lot more bullshit when you realize it was never 'them' or 'me'. It was always 'us'." (paraphrased)"

There is some nuance established earlier in the world-building (elves were not on the continent before humans, it isn't really confirmed whether humans were the initial aggressors in the war between humans and elves, similar to how one of the real life Crusades started because Orthodox Christian land in Anatolia had been conquered by the Seljuks). Whatever did happen, the elves lost that war, and the present day humans in this universe, despite having beyond modern technology, have early 20th century sensibilities on conquest and sentient rights, and the game takes place amidst such a social environment.

But like I said, I'm a fapper from the Internet, not the writer and developer of the game. I could be off with the intended message, or reading into it too much.

Exactly. The winners write history, so I wanted it to be confusing at the beginning, and almost feel like it was the Elves' fault. (Lin first believed Elves invaded Syl'anar, somehow, with pointy sticks.) But as I said earlier in this post, the Pope and his crusaders were the invaders.

There are over 800 scenes in this game, and there are 4 exhibitionism scenes per character. 8 for Autumn. That's 36 scenes out of over 800. That is precisely 4.5% of the game. Exhibitionism is only a fraction of this game. You can just not click the Exhibitionism training. If you don't like a side character such as Vanessa, you don't have to do their story either. It's optional. Why do you click optional things you don't like? Don't subject yourself to this.

You can change the dialogue UI and the background music in the info tab in the pause menu.

That being said I can't run the game in joiplay and I know he and all of you guys are tired of this question but is there a way to play it in Android again? I know Lain did something but the links are dead.

So a few things I tried and broke:
- Patron code for the sisters does not work (invalid cheatcode)
- Patron code for Ashley makes her never joined the Hotel ("no one lives here... yet")
- (As a result of the above) you can't improve Ashley's friendship to progress with F&E path
- (To bypass the above) I used Ren'Py Save Editor to change Ash's friendship and two problems occurred:
+ Friendship stat got too high and warnings pop up.
+ Quickmenu at the bottom disappears.

Of course. Did you read the android installation instructions in the OP? Don't download the joiplay version I warn you about. It doesn't work.
