How do you make the 0.18 beta saves work in 0.18 official?
He likely used a save editor, that he referred to in a previous post to change a setting in the save files.
I didn't use a save editor. And this is going to sound very odd, and it likely won't work if you've progressed too far in the game. But I took my saved from the
v0.18 Beta and put them into a
v0.17 game. Then played like a day, saved and moved that new save to the
v0.18 game. It's like laundering money, lol, doing this removes whatever Beta tag(s) are present.
Again, this probably won't work if you've gone too far into the
v0.18 Beta game content. But since I started my first playthrough in the Beta version I wasn't so far that it became a problem, though I did have to rollback to a somewhat earlier save because I had moved one of the girls story out of the
v0.17 content and into the
v0.18 Beta stuff.
Oh, when doing anything with the saves, make sure you're careful. Most probably know this but just in case, RenPy is keeping 2 or 3 sets of saves, 1 set in the game folder, 2 sets in the
AppData/Roaming/RenPy folder. One in the first folder and another in the sync folder. I just delete the Sync folder and it never does that again, and delete or archive/backup the saves in the top HaremHotel folder.
