if only there was a way to say no to maria doctor appointment or have a silent doc like her friend. completely ruins the flow of the game and destroys her story.

destroys her story.
Can't agree. I don't like the sequence at all, and I'm sure a large part of that is because I'm into Maria--she isn't my favorite of the girls (that'd be Kali), but she's definitely in the top half. But I think it's essential both to her story, and to the bigger story of the game.

The story of the game is obviously headed toward a major showdown on slavery. MC's against it, Lin's against it, the rest of the elves we know are against it, Kali's there, Autumn's getting there, etc. This gets Maria 100% on board, and also brings in Felicity and Emma.

As to Maria's story, in addition to enlisting her in the War Against Slavery, it finally gives her an answer on why she's an orphan--yes, her parents loved her; yes, they were trying to protect her; no, she wasn't just discarded because she was inconvenient. And it gives her a reason to be something more than a bartender at a hotel bar.

It does show Hana to be a coward, and that's something I think is too easily forgiven in the game. But this, or something similar, had to happen to move things along.

We have seen a couple of them, but they haven't had a lot of screen time yet. But we keep hoping.
I keep hoping that Runey will utilize the “others” in the dungeon as fast easy ‘no real story necessary’ expansions of h scenes for ALL the sanctuary Elf’s and / or slightly neglected (minor) characters like Ellen, Jin, Moon, all the hot springs girls pretty much any other minor char.

It could also be an excellent way to expand UP the “content” per release without going the route of having to introduce extra navigation AND development efforts (Like the bowling alley/town areas/strip club/garden etc) I’m not complaining about those additions in any way. However it seems like those cost significant programming effort vs the effort that a few scenes added in the dungeon on the “others button” would. This is just a guess only Runey actually knows … and for long term all those development efforts will probably pay development dividends at some point.

If you want to avoid dungeon content there are other easy adder spots iirc Kim??(Kimee??)&sister went from the school to beach/onsen/bedroom … it could follow a simple version of that route.

IMO the girl that is the Radio MC with her shibari rope tan lines (in onsen & party) she definitely should force the MC to take her to the dungeon once she in her ever nosey manner finds out that it exists. :devilish:

Lowkey i was hardly engaged in her 'story' prior to the reveal, maria practically sat in a limbo of just being a bundle of character tropes you might find hot or funny and that's it. This is a good way of so

damn wtf was the backlash to collabing with an AI studio that bad
The what now?

Last person who reported this/similar error said he had an outdated version of the walk through mod. He re-extracted without the mod and copied his saves over.

everyone of her close friends are telling her its a bad idea some try and discourage her entirely and yet without even thinking about it she goes and does it. this is a 180 to earlier in the game where she listened to the advice of basically a complete stranger because she was horny. yes it breaks her story as the consistency is gone. then again so many people in that hotel know about halflings and yet no one ever thought she might be one or to look for signs? even the story of her past as no one wanted her should have been a red flag to people who know about halflings to look for signs. hell even mira herself should be able to have suspicions on why no one wanted her when she was academically really gifted. so many things just dont add up when she goes headstrong against all advice and worries without even thinking about it ignoring it all. yes it breaks her story.

First, who is completely consistent? Everyone, from time to time, behaves in a way that's inconsistent with their "normal"--even assuming this is (and we've seen her be plenty stubborn before, too). Second, she's grown quite a bit since the first time we meet her--the Maria who insists on the DNA test is not the Maria we first met as Ashley's friend. Third, how is it inconsistent? To take advice on one occasion, and not on another, is hardly inconsistent.

One is: Hana. And that's because Hana knows (somehow--OK, "strongly suspects") who and what Maria is, and yet doesn't tell her--which is why I say she's a coward. The others are more "eh, what's the big deal?" They aren't encouraging her, it's true, but neither are they discouraging her. Such discouragement as she gets--other than from Hana--comes from "my family sucks; why would you want to know about yours?"

yet no one ever thought she might be one or to look for signs?
What are those signs? Ears, but those have been altered (as Hana's were). Eyes? Ellen and Ashley both have dark-elf eyes but are perfectly legal. Hana has normal blue eyes and is a half-elf (obviously not half dark elf). Maria's lived 20 years in a world where being a half-elf means instant slavery with zero rights, and nobody's noticed--and unlike Hana, she hasn't had super-protective (adoptive) parents to try to shield her. Even when she goes to the doctor, the doctor doesn't notice. I think we have to conclude that, other than the ears, there aren't any visible signs.

And if you're suggesting that the reason for her lack of romantic or employment success has to do with people picking up on her heritage, don't you think someone would have turned her in?

So no, I don't think it breaks consistency; if anything, it shows growth in her character.

And then, of course, there's the practical issue. We can't branch the story to avoid this, because then she never learns who she is and thus has no personal reason to join the War on Slavery. The story requires she do this, and this is how it happens.

For the sings there are the eyes for starters. Theb there is the extremely slow learning she seemed to have as an orphan having to work harder than the rest to get things done and she looks rather young for how old she is. The mc might not have picked up on it but surely one of the elves would have seen something to give a hint. As for hannah she is just lucky as they also tell you in game. As for the consistenct she starts out as a wild all over the place stubborn donkey fucking herself for money and is all over the place untill the she starts trusting the mc and then becomes predictable reliable consistent only to out of almost nowhere go back to an idea which at that point she has had only heard bad things about. If she had heard any good experiences about her bloodwork it would be different but before she does it no one has given her any positive experiences or feedback yet she goes. Thats just not in line with any consistency or even logic
