There's no accounting for taste--I just don't like Ashley that much. As the game/story goes on, I can better understand why she is the way she is, but I still just don't much like her. Felicity and Emma are pretty much the same--I get it, but still am not that interested in them.

Try deleting your pesistent file? If you're using the mod, make sure yours is up to date? I did a full clean run without any crashes, so without any error messages or such to try and help define the specific cause, it's kind of a crapshot in the dark on what the cause is.

There should be an option to ignore the error at the bottom. This worked for me with the garden and a few other errors that came up after the garden is put in place.

Generally, it means you have cheated, and will need to load an older save.
Yes, it will affect the game.
Levels are what trigger events.
If an event is programmed at level 22 and you jump from level 21 to level 23 you will never get that event.
And since many events also trigger other variables to change... Basically your game is broken.

Also I think we have an upcoming main character (?? the empty room on 2nd floor ??) which I believe (I may be wrong) will only begin development once one of the current main character routes is fully written off. This will be likely when Lin's route becomes complete, as she's the most developed main character so far.
So we have quite a while to go with this game.
