If you don't want to start over, you could also try searching the forum here, and get someone else's save, they get posted every now and again.
Use the search, just make sure you go into your profile settings and change the search results to sort by date for better results.

Try going to the second city exploration screen manually by using the hotel door, see if that makes the button disappear.

Did you already have the previous version, 17 on your computer, and did you follow the directions for extracting and over writing files in that folder with the contents of the update only download?
The update only downloads require that the full download with past updates already be on your system.
They will not work without it.

The addition of Autumn to the harem is great. It allows you to see the church for what it is. It's a thin veil to what religion is meant for in the real world. It alters peoples perceptions, while reinforcing their flaws in a way to indoctrinate them further into the cult.

It gives the story nuance, and the player satisfaction when they convince Autumn that her faith may not be entirely correct. Killing her would only silence 1 bad actor, while converting her could grant you a serious ally in converting more to the cause.

She's probably my least favorite character in the harem, but she's interesting, and ultimately will be useful.

Kali's dad however, that's a whole bucket of trauma still waiting to unfold. He's a "necessary evil." His choice in wife might just be him thinking with his dick, but I don't think he's as simple as that. I think we'll see him as an ally before the end.

I have nothing particularly salient to add here, but I'm speaking up anyway. Because like many of you, Autumn is not my favorite character in terms of personality, story arc, etc. (nor is she my least favorite!). But she is surface-of-the-sun-in-July-level hot. My GOD she is hot.

i love autumn, and feel she is necessary to the story and unique

1.) she shows the other side of the story, everything we are initially suppose to hate
2.) she also shows the transition from one side to the other side
3.) the world isn't perfect, the best hope we have is bringing others to "our side", autumn represents that
4.) in a harem game, where you pretty much have free-reign to @#$% anyone at any time, autumn resists
5.) this slow burn will ultimately have a pay-off, and balances power dynamics in the story
6.) this game has always been political to itself, and while i will not bring real-world politics into play, autumn represents (in a porn game) the ultimate best-case scenario
7.) i realize she is nearly dead-last in every poll she is included in, and i think that is intentional, but i'm really hoping she has a chance to shine at some point, this game has been in development for over 8 years, and i really hope Runey sees it finished

all that being said, Autumn is *not* my favorite character (big surprise, i know), but the story would be less interesting without her

People really need Autumn's role as foil (I'm pretty sure there's a more appropriate term I can't remember at the moment) to be explained? I would think the way her character is gonna develop - both her views and sexually - would be pretty obvious from the jump.

She's already my 2nd favorite because people who can see the wrong with things they've been told their whole life and discard them are so unbelievably rare in the real world that I just can't help but love characters with that trait.

This is a really good point that never occurred to me. If she gets confirmed as whatever powerful position it is she's being groomed for (I forget because it's been ages since I did a playthrough) then that puts her in a really good position to encourage the faithful to stop being douchenozzles. Assuming, of course, that she can get away with defying the deity or whatever wants to kill the elves.

I mean, have you seen fandom discussions lately, pretty much anywhere? Of course Autumn needs her role in the story explained, most people expect all the good guys to be endless paragons of whatever virtue is making the rounds on tiktok that week and all the villains to be tossed off a cliff at the end - but also don't let the villain say something evil otherwise people might think he's bad. Bonus points for making him a tumblr sexyman by putting him in a suit and giving him a mild degree of charisma, that way people can pretend he did nothing at all wrong despite genociding three species and burning down a national park because nature offends him. Preferably, this somehow leads to gay sex.

The internet was a mistake, but so was underfunding our English teachers.
